Morakniv Mörkret Elmax (S) – 6.02″ Elmax High Flat Plain Edge Blade, Pitch Black Polypropylene Handle – 14702

The Morakniv Mörkret Elmax (S) is a full-tang survival knife made in Mora, Sweden, built for batoning, wood processing, shelter building, and fire prep, with a 6.02″ Uddeholm Elmax blade and a ferro rod-compatible spine.

Uddeholm Elmax SuperClean is a stainless powder-metallurgy steel developed for high wear resistance and edge retention, with good corrosion resistance. Morakniv hardens it to 60.5 HRC, with annealing and cryo treatment. In the field, that means an edge that holds up through long stretches of heavy use in wet and cold conditions. The 0.165″ thick blade has Morakniv’s High Flat grind with a secondary bevel, which puts more steel behind the edge for strength during hard work.

• Blade: 6.02″ (153 mm) Uddeholm Elmax SuperClean, High Flat grind with secondary bevel, 0.165″ (4.2 mm) thick, 60.5 HRC, full tang, precision-milled spine. Edge runs all the way to the handle.
• Handle: Pitch Black Power Touch Grip in glass-fiber reinforced polypropylene, with a soft-grip feel, spine ridges for gloved use, a finger guard, and a lanyard hole.
• Sheath: Ambidextrous black Click-On sheath with click-lock retention, a hole pattern for TEK-LOK accessories, MOLLE-compatible rails, and a LIBA Smart belt loop that works as a dangler with secondary locking.
• Carry: Left- or right-side carry on a belt, dangler, or MOLLE gear.

Ideal for: bushcrafters who baton, carve, and prep fire with one knife; survival and preparedness buyers who want a stainless full-tang blade; and backcountry campers working in cold, wet conditions.

Note: The exposed tang at the rear of the handle is sharpened for scraping tinder or striking a ferro rod. Morakniv notes you can blunt it with a sharpening stone if you prefer.
