Kershaw Launch Iridium Auto – 3.45″ CPM MagnaCut Stonewashed Spear Point Blade, OD Green Anodized Aluminum Handle USA Made – 7038OL

The Kershaw Launch Iridium Auto 7038OL is a USA-made side-button automatic folder with a 3.45-inch CPM MagnaCut stonewash spear point blade on an OD green anodized aluminum handle — the field-carry Iridium Auto, pairing Crucible’s benchmark alloy in bare stonewash form with the most tactically purposeful handle color in the Iridium automatic lineup.

The Launch Iridium Auto bridges the Iridium’s proven handle geometry with the Launch series’ USA-made automatic deployment. CPM MagnaCut is the steel that changed the conversation for American-made production knives. Engineered by metallurgist Larrin Thomas and produced by Crucible Industries, CPM MagnaCut simultaneously outperforms CPM-S35VN and M390 in edge retention, toughness, and corrosion resistance. The stonewash finish on the 7038OL leaves the CPM MagnaCut blade in natural textured form — bare steel in cool matte silver-grey against the OD green anodized aluminum handle. This pairing puts the natural steel of bare CPM MagnaCut against the most field-credible handle color in the production automatic market: OD green reads as tactically deliberate, militarily grounded, and field-carry purposeful across first responder, law enforcement, military, and outdoor carry contexts in a way that no other color communicates. The matte stonewash blade and the matte OD green anodize are also tonally compatible — both low-reflectance, both reading as working hardware rather than display hardware. CPM MagnaCut’s near-H1 corrosion resistance handles carry moisture in bare stonewash form without a coating layer. All assembled in Tualatin, Oregon on Kershaw’s USA production floor.

First responders, military, law enforcement, and outdoor tactical carry professionals who want the Iridium Auto in the field-carry OD green colorway — the 7038OL carries with deliberate field intent that the bronze and G-10 black variants do not signal in the same way. Buyers whose carry kit runs in OD green and field tones who want the CPM MagnaCut Iridium Auto to match that system. Collectors completing the full Iridium Auto three-variant family who want the OD green field-carry piece alongside the 7038BRZ bronze and KS7038G10 black G-10.

CPM MagnaCut, stonewash spear point, OD green anodized aluminum, USA-made side-button automatic, and Kershaw Lifetime Warranty — the Kershaw Launch Iridium Auto 7038OL is the field-carry CPM MagnaCut automatic in the Iridium lineup.
