Kershaw Launch 14 Auto – 3.375″ CPM-154 Stonewashed Cleaver Blade, Gray Aluminum & Carbon Fiber Inlay Handle USA Made – 7850SW

The Kershaw Launch 14 7850SW is a USA-made side-button automatic folder with a 3.375-inch CPM-154 stonewash cleaver blade on a gray anodized aluminum handle with carbon fiber inlay — the most carry-neutral and materially understated configuration in the Launch 14 cleaver lineup, pairing the natural cool silver-grey of stonewash CPM-154 against a neutral gray aluminum frame with woven carbon fiber inlay for a restrained premium carry piece that lets the cleaver geometry speak without color or tactical signal.

The Launch series represents Kershaw’s highest-tier USA-made automatic folder production — KVT ball-bearing pivot, side-button deployment, liner lock retention. The Launch 14 7850SW runs CPM-154, Crucible’s powder metallurgy version of 154CM — more uniform carbide distribution, better edge retention, improved toughness, and excellent corrosion resistance. No active moisture maintenance required. The cleaver blade geometry is the defining characteristic of the Launch 14 and the most visually distinctive blade profile in the Launch catalog — a broad, tall blade with a spine running nearly parallel to the cutting edge, producing a rectangular or squared-off profile with the widest flat face in the series. In a folding knife, the cleaver delivers maximum slicing surface in a draw cut or rocking push cut. The stonewash finish on the 7850SW leaves CPM-154 in natural textured form — matte, low-reflectance, developing a working patina with carry. Where the 7850OLBW’s blackwash blade reads as a unified dark surface across the broad cleaver face, the 7850SW’s stonewash blade shows the natural textured silver-grey of bare CPM-154 steel — the cleaver’s full broad face visible in its material-honest form without a dark coating over it. The gray anodized aluminum handle with carbon fiber inlay creates the most carry-neutral handle in the Launch 14 family. Gray aluminum is the most context-free anodized color — precise, professional, and universally appropriate — and the carbon fiber inlay adds woven visual texture and premium character without the field-carry signal of OD green or the patina-developing honesty of raw aluminum. The cool neutral gray of the handle pairs with the cool silver-grey of the stonewash blade in the same tonal register — a fully cool, neutral, restrained carry piece where the cleaver geometry is the statement and the materials are the supporting cast. All assembled in Tualatin, Oregon on Kershaw’s USA production floor.

Buyers who want the Launch 14 cleaver automatic in the most carry-neutral and tonally restrained configuration — the 7850SW’s cool stonewash blade and cool gray aluminum with CF inlay create a unified neutral-register carry piece that lets the cleaver geometry communicate without color, field signal, or material warmth. Professional, business, and EDC buyers who want the cleaver’s distinctive geometry in a configuration that reads as understated premium rather than field-carry tactical. Collectors completing the Launch 14 family who want the 7850SW stonewash alongside the 7850BLKDAM Damascus and the 7850OLBW OD green blackwash as the complete three-variant Launch 14 set.

CPM-154, stonewash cleaver, gray aluminum with carbon fiber inlay, USA-made side-button automatic, and Kershaw Lifetime Warranty — the Kershaw Launch 14 7850SW is the carry-neutral premium cleaver automatic in the Launch 14 lineup.
