Kershaw Launch 14 Auto – 3.375″ CPM-154 Blackwash Cleaver Blade, Olive Drab Aluminum & Carbon Fiber Inlay Handle USA Made – 7850OLBW

The Kershaw Launch 14 7850OLBW is a USA-made side-button automatic folder with a 3.375-inch CPM-154 blackwash cleaver blade on an olive drab aluminum handle with carbon fiber inlay — the field-carry CPM-154 stainless cleaver automatic on the Launch 14 platform, delivering powder metallurgy stainless performance in the most visually distinctive blade geometry in the Launch catalog on a premium two-material OD green and carbon fiber handle.

The Launch series represents Kershaw’s highest-tier USA-made automatic folder production — KVT ball-bearing pivot, side-button deployment, liner lock retention. The Launch 14 7850OLBW runs CPM-154, Crucible’s powder metallurgy version of 154CM — more uniform carbide distribution, better edge retention, improved toughness, and excellent corrosion resistance. No active moisture maintenance required. The cleaver blade geometry is the defining characteristic of the Launch 14 — a broad, tall blade with a spine that runs nearly parallel to the cutting edge, producing a rectangular or squared-off profile with the widest, most uninterrupted flat face in the Launch catalog. The cleaver delivers maximum slicing surface in a draw cut or rocking push cut, and its broad flat face is the best possible canvas for displaying the blackwash finish’s dark, matte, light-diffusing surface. Blackwash applies a dark coating over a stonewash base — the stonewash texture underneath creates micro-variation in the black surface, giving the blackwash finish a depth and visual complexity that a uniform flat-black coating does not have. On a broad cleaver face, that depth reads across the full blade surface. The olive drab aluminum handle with carbon fiber inlay is the most tactically purposeful and materially premium handle configuration in the Launch 14 family. OD green carries an immediate field-carry signal; the carbon fiber inlay adds woven visual texture and premium character against the olive frame. Unlike the gray/black CF combination of the 7850BLKDAM, the OD green/black CF combination reads as militarily credible and materially premium simultaneously — field hardware with premium material detailing. All assembled in Tualatin, Oregon on Kershaw’s USA production floor.
