Kershaw Launch 7 Auto – 3.7″ CPM MagnaCut Stonewashed Clip Point Blade, Carbon Fiber & Aluminum Handle USA Made – 7900CF

The Kershaw Launch 7 7900CF is a USA-made side-button automatic folder with a 3.7-inch CPM MagnaCut stonewash clip point blade on a carbon fiber and aluminum handle — the longest clip point automatic in the Kershaw Launch lineup, delivering the benchmark alloy in the refined clip point geometry at the maximum blade length in the series on the most premium handle material combination available in the Launch catalog.

The Launch series represents Kershaw’s highest-tier USA-made automatic folder production — KVT ball-bearing pivot, side-button deployment, liner lock retention. The Launch 7 7900CF runs CPM MagnaCut, the steel that changed the conversation for American-made production knives. Engineered by metallurgist Larrin Thomas and produced by Crucible Industries, CPM MagnaCut simultaneously outperforms CPM-S35VN and M390 in edge retention, toughness, and corrosion resistance. At 3.7 inches, the Launch 7 carries the longest blade in the Launch catalog — 0.2 inches longer than the 3.5-inch Launch 13, Launch 15, Launch 17, Launch 8, and 3.35 inches longer than the most compact Launch 4. The clip point geometry at 3.7 inches delivers the longest clip point automatic in the Launch lineup: the spine runs straight then curves concavely downward to a fine, acute, lowered tip, excelling at precision entry and detail push cuts while maintaining the longest useful cutting belly in the clip point family. CPM MagnaCut’s toughness supports that acute clip point tip through the full 3.7-inch blade — the most demanding blade length for tip robustness in the Launch clip point lineup. The stonewash finish leaves CPM MagnaCut in natural textured form — matte, low-reflectance, developing a working patina with carry. The carbon fiber and aluminum handle brings full structural carbon fiber panels to the Launch 7, distinct from the CF onlay of the Launch 19 7851CFDAM and the CF inlay of the Launch 14 7850BLKDAM and 7850OLBW — full CF panels are the primary handle surface material, contributing carbon fiber’s light weight, high rigidity, and the distinctive crosshatch woven pattern as the primary visual and tactile element. Aluminum provides the underlying structural frame. All assembled in Tualatin, Oregon on Kershaw’s USA production floor.

• Blade: CPM MagnaCut steel, clip point profile, stonewash finish — benchmark edge retention, toughness, and near-H1 corrosion resistance; 3.7-inch blade, the longest clip point in the Launch lineup; toughness supports the acute clip point tip through the longest blade length in the Launch clip point family; stonewash develops a natural patina with carry
• Handle: Carbon fiber and aluminum — full CF panels as the primary handle surface, distinct from CF onlay and CF inlay; carbon fiber’s light weight, high rigidity, and distinctive woven crosshatch pattern; aluminum structural frame underneath
• Deployment: Side-button automatic — press the button on the spine; KVT ball-bearing pivot delivers fast, smooth, one-hand deployment; liner lock retention
• Carry: Longest clip point in the Launch lineup at 3.7 inches, USA made (confirm clip configuration)

Buyers who want CPM MagnaCut in the longest clip point available in a USA-made side-button automatic — the 7900CF is the only Launch automatic running the benchmark alloy at 3.7 inches on full carbon fiber panels, the highest-performance and most premium-material configuration in the Launch clip point lineup. Collectors who want the full CF Launch automatic alongside the Cerakote and stainless clip point variants — the 7900CF’s full carbon fiber panels are the only primary-material CF handle in the Launch clip point family. Buyers who want maximum blade length in a Launch clip point, whether for primary EDC cutting tasks or for collectors who prefer the longest platform in the series.

CPM MagnaCut, stonewash clip point, carbon fiber and aluminum, USA-made side-button automatic, and Kershaw Lifetime Warranty — the Kershaw Launch 7 7900CF is the longest and most premium-handle clip point automatic in the Launch lineup.
