Kershaw Launch 13 Auto – 3.5″ Damascus Wharncliffe Blade, Black Anodized Aluminum Handle USA Made – 7650DAM

The Kershaw Launch 13 7650DAM is a USA-made side-button automatic folder with a 3.5-inch Damascus Wharncliffe blade on a black anodized aluminum handle — the only Damascus Wharncliffe automatic in the Kershaw Launch lineup, delivering pattern-per-blade Damascus in the most specialized and precision-focused blade geometry in the series, on a zero-signature all-black handle that lets the Damascus pattern speak as the sole visual statement.

The Launch series represents Kershaw’s highest-tier USA-made automatic folder production — KVT ball-bearing pivot, side-button deployment, liner lock retention. The Launch 13 7650DAM runs Damascus steel — forge-welded layered alloys manipulated through twisting, folding, or patterning before grinding to final geometry and acid-etched to reveal the contrasting layer pattern. No two Damascus blades carry an identical pattern: the 7650DAM you receive is the only one with that exact pattern in existence. The Wharncliffe blade geometry is the defining characteristic of the Launch 13 and the only Wharncliffe automatic in the Kershaw Launch lineup. A Wharncliffe blade keeps the spine completely flat and curves the entire edge upward from handle to tip, meeting the flat spine at a centered point — producing a flat cutting surface that runs parallel to the work surface for the full blade length, a centered tip for precise push-cut entry, and a flat spine for index finger placement in a saber grip. The Damascus Wharncliffe combination on the 7650DAM creates a blade where both elements are unique in the catalog: Damascus’s acid-etched layered pattern is visible across the Wharncliffe’s broad flat face — the flat spine and the full-length curved edge both showing the Damascus pattern in a geometry that is itself unlike any other blade in the Launch family. The warm caramel and dark-brown tones of the acid-etched Damascus pattern read as a warm accent against the cool black anodized aluminum handle — Damascus as the visual statement, black aluminum as the zero-signature surround. At 3.5 inches, the 7650DAM carries the longest blade in the Launch catalog. Damascus requires active moisture maintenance. All assembled in Tualatin, Oregon on Kershaw’s USA production floor.

• Blade: Damascus steel, Wharncliffe profile — layered forge-welded construction with a pattern unique to each blade; the only Damascus Wharncliffe automatic in the Launch lineup; flat spine and full-length curved edge make both faces of the Wharncliffe geometry fully readable in the Damascus pattern; requires active moisture management
• Handle: Black anodized aluminum — zero-signature all-black handle; Damascus pattern reads as the sole visual statement against the uninterrupted black surround; the most discrete Damascus Wharncliffe carry configuration
• Deployment: Side-button automatic — press the button on the spine; KVT ball-bearing pivot delivers fast, smooth, one-hand deployment; liner lock retention
• Carry: Longest blade in the Launch catalog at 3.5 inches, USA made (confirm clip configuration)
