Junglas – 10.38″ 1095 OD Green Plain Edge Drop Point Blade, Orange G-10 Handle (BR Exclusive) – ESJUNGLASODOR

The ESEE Junglas (pronounced “Hoonglas”) blends a hard-use fixed blade with the reach and efficiency of a machete. This version pairs a 10.38″ OD Green 1095 blade with high-visibility orange G-10 handle scales and a black Kydex sheath with a MOLLE back.

1095 carbon steel is a classic choice for large blades: tough, easy to sharpen in the field, and forgiving under heavy chopping. ESEE runs it at 55-57 HRC. ESEE says designers Jeff Randall and Mike Perrin developed the Junglas for Colombia’s Jungla Special Operations Commandos, who needed a tough blade for clearing dense jungle vegetation. The 0.19″ thick, flat-ground blade gives you a machete’s reach for clearing brush with the strength of a heavy fixed blade, and the orange G-10 scales are durable, moisture resistant, and easy to spot in the field.

• Blade: 10.38″ 1095 carbon steel drop point, OD Green finish, flat grind, plain edge, 0.19″ thick, 55-57 HRC. 16.50″ overall.
• Handle: Orange G-10 scales. 6.12″ handle length.
• Sheath: Black Kydex sheath with a MOLLE back.
• Carry: 22.50 oz, mounts on a belt, pack, or MOLLE gear.

Ideal for: campers and landowners who clear brush and light vegetation; backcountry travelers who want one large blade for chopping and camp work; and buyers who want a moisture-resistant, high-visibility G-10 handle on the Junglas.

Care: 1095 is carbon steel, not stainless. The OD Green finish helps protect the blade, but the edge and any worn areas can rust or patina. Keep the knife dry and lightly oiled.

ESEE Junglas OD Green and Orange G-10: Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the most common questions about the ESEE Junglas with an OD Green blade, orange G-10, and black Kydex MOLLE-back sheath (ESJUNGLASODOR).

What kind of blade and sheath does the Junglas have?

It is a fixed blade with a 10.38-inch 1095 carbon steel drop-point blade, 0.19 inch thick, hardened to 55-57 HRC, with an OD Green finish, a flat grind, and a plain edge, with orange G-10 handle scales. It comes with a black Kydex sheath with a MOLLE back.

What is included with the Junglas?

The knife comes with its black Kydex sheath with a MOLLE back. Contents are subject to change by the manufacturer.

Is the Junglas a knife or a machete?

It is a bit of both. The 10.38-inch blade gives you a machete’s reach for clearing brush and vegetation, while the 0.19-inch blade stock and full-size handle give it the strength and control of a heavy fixed blade for chopping and camp work.

Which Junglas colorway should I choose?

This version pairs an OD Green blade with moisture-resistant orange G-10 scales. The JUNGLAS-E and JUNGLAS-TG pair black or Tactical Gray blades with tan Micarta and the same Kydex MOLLE-back sheath, and the JUNGLAS-VG-E pairs a Venom Green blade with orange Micarta and a black nylon sheath.

Will the 1095 carbon steel blade rust?

It can. 1095 is carbon steel, not stainless, so it needs more care than stainless steels. The OD Green finish helps protect the blade, but the edge and any worn areas can rust or patina if left wet. Wipe the blade dry after use and keep a light coat of oil on it.

What warranty does the Junglas have, and where is it made?

ESEE describes its warranty as one of the most extensive available. Contact ESEE or visit eseeknives.com for current warranty terms and service. The Junglas is made in the USA.
