TOPS Frog Market Special – Tan Canvas Micarta (5.25″ 1095) TPFMS502

The Frog Market Special is an extraordinary addition to our lineup at TOPS, designed with uniqueness and excellence in mind. Boasting a remarkable thickness of just 1/16th of an inch (1.5875 mm), it proudly stands as the thinnest knife we’ve ever offered. Crafted from premium 1095 High Carbon Steel and adorned with Tan Canvas Micarta scales, the Frog Market Special ensures both durability and style. The broad heel effortlessly delivers deep, shearing cuts, while the pronounced curve towards the edge enhances slicing performance. As you wield this masterpiece, you’ll quickly appreciate its ergonomic handle that fits comfortably in your hand. Its slimmer steel not only allows for pristine, smooth cuts but also introduces added flexibility compared to thicker blades. The pointed tip excels at boning meats like chicken and pork seamlessly. This versatile tool shines brightly in your kitchen yet proves equally invaluable on camping trips, fishing expeditions, or hunting adventures. Inspired by Steven Dick—editor of Tactical Knives—the design comes from his eye-opening trip to Hanoi, Vietnam where he observed local butchers and fishmongers using distinct knives that made meat preparation look effortless. While the idea may have originated from bustling Vietnamese markets, each Frog Market Special knife is meticulously manufactured and hand-finished right here in the heart of the Rocky Mountains, USA. Embrace this perfect blend of tradition-inspired innovation made just for you!
