The Takumitak Companion knives are designed for those who need a reliable and durable tool in challenging environments. Let’s explore the key features and benefits that make these knives a standout choice for outdoor enthusiasts and professionals alike.
Blade Design and Material
The heart of the Takumitak Companion is its 4.9mm thick CNC machined Full Tang D2 Steel Drop Point blade. This blade is crafted with a flat grind, ensuring a sharp, durable edge that can handle intense daily use. The drop point design provides a strong tip for piercing tasks, while the full tang construction offers superior strength and balance.
D2 Steel Advantages
D2 steel is renowned for its high wear resistance and excellent edge retention. Each blade is through hardened to a rating of HRC 60-62, ensuring durability and longevity even under hard use. The CNC machining process ensures extreme precision and uniform results, allowing Takumitak to produce consistently high-quality blades.
Handle and Ergonomics
The knife’s tang is complemented by CNC machined G10 handle scales. G10 is a lightweight, yet incredibly strong material that offers an extreme grip, even when exposed to fluids or oils. This makes the Takumitak Companion comfortable and secure to handle under various conditions.
Sheath and Carry Options
For safe storage and convenient access, the knife comes with a pressure retention kydex sheath. This durable sheath is designed to hold the knife securely, preventing accidental slips.
Versatile Carry Options
The sheath includes a molle system ready clip, allowing users to carry the knife in vertical or horizontal positions. It can also be easily switched for both left and right-hand use, providing versatility and adaptability for different carrying preferences.
Designed for Hard Use
The Takumitak Companion is engineered to withstand extreme conditions, making it suitable for all climates and temperatures where humans venture. Whether you’re exploring the wilderness or working in demanding environments, this knife is built to perform reliably.
