The Spyderco Shelter™ Cove FB51GP is a high-performance fillet knife designed by world-renowned custom knifemaker and avid angler Phil Wilson. Known for his “no-nonsense” approach to hunting and fishing tools, Wilson’s Shelter Cove features a 5.78″ blade crafted from 8Cr17MoV stainless steel. This specialized alloy is expertly heat-treated to achieve the ideal balance of edge retention and the lateral flexibility necessary for precision filleting and deboning tasks.

The blade features a masterful full-flat grind with an exceptionally thin edge geometry and a uniform distal taper, allowing it to glide through fish with minimal drag. The handle is constructed with a robust full-tang design and contoured Black G-10 scales, offering a high-friction, ergonomic grip that remains secure even when hands are wet or slippery. Complete with a premium genuine leather sheath, the Shelter Cove is a professional-grade tool that brings custom-tier slicing performance to every tackle box.
