The Spyderco Itamae Bunka Bocho K18GPBNBK is a professional-grade masterpiece designed for those who demand the pinnacle of high-performance kitchen cutlery. Literally meaning “cultural knife,” the Bunka Bocho is an all-purpose tool suitable for preparing meat, vegetables, and fish. This model features a 7.69-inch laminated blade with an ultra-hard Aogami Super Blue carbon steel core protected by outer layers of SUS410 stainless steel. This classic San Mai construction ensures world-class edge retention while providing the structural support and corrosion resistance of stainless steel.

Ground exceptionally thin for unparalleled slicing, the blade also features Murray Carter’s signature “Carter Elbow”—a distinctive distal taper that reinforces the tip for precision work. The traditional octagonal “wa”-style handle is crafted from stunning Burl G-10 and highlighted with a black G-10 ferrule, offering the elegant look of natural wood with the superior durability and hygiene of a modern laminate. Handcrafted in Japan, the Itamae Bunka Bocho faithfully captures the spirit of Murray Carter’s coveted custom designs.
