Spyderco Enuff Salt – 2.75″ H-2 Satin Hollow-Ground SpyderEdge Sheepsfoot Blade, Yellow FRN Handle – CFB31SY

The Enuff Salt CFB31SY is a compact fixed blade built for work in and around the water. It pairs a fully serrated SpyderEdge sheepsfoot blade in H-2 steel with a high-visibility yellow FRN handle and a polymer sheath that attaches easily to watersports gear.

H-2 is a highly corrosion-resistant steel used in Spyderco’s Salt Series. Spyderco says its austenitic properties give it an exceptionally hard cutting edge with a tough, springy back. The 0.157″ (4 mm) blade is hollow ground, and its sheepsfoot shape puts a straight, fully serrated edge under a spine that curves down to the tip. That design reduces the risk of accidental punctures while the SpyderEdge grips and cuts rope, line, and webbing.

• Blade: 2.75″ H-2 sheepsfoot with a 2.54″ fully serrated SpyderEdge, hollow grind, satin finish, 0.157″ thick.
• Handle: Yellow FRN scales with Spyderco’s Bi-Directional Texture over a skeletonized full tang; 6.75″ overall, 3.9 oz.
• Sheath: Polymer sheath with grommeted construction for attaching to watersports gear, plus a G-Clip mount.
• Carry: Belt carry with the G-Clip, or lash the sheath to a life vest, kayak, or dive gear through its grommets.

Ideal for: kayakers, boaters, and paddlers who want a compact line cutter on their gear; divers and water rescue users who need a serrated fixed blade with a sheepsfoot tip; and anglers who cut line and rope in salt water.

Spyderco Enuff Salt: Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the most common questions about the Spyderco Enuff Salt (CFB31SY).

What type of blade and sheath does the Spyderco Enuff Salt CFB31SY have?

The Enuff Salt is a compact fixed blade with a 2.75-inch H-2 sheepsfoot blade, fully serrated with Spyderco’s SpyderEdge, on a skeletonized full tang. It comes with a polymer sheath that has grommeted construction for attaching to watersports gear and a G-Clip mount for belt carry.

Why a sheepsfoot blade?

A sheepsfoot blade has a straight cutting edge, with the spine curving down to meet it at the tip. That shape reduces the risk of accidental punctures when cutting close to a person, gear, or an inflatable, which is why it is popular for water rescue and boating. Always cut with care and keep the edge pointed away from people.

What is H-2 steel?

H-2 is a highly corrosion-resistant steel used in Spyderco’s Salt Series. Spyderco says its austenitic properties give it an exceptionally hard cutting edge with a tough, springy back, which suits a serrated blade used around salt water. Rinse the knife and sheath with fresh water and dry them after salt exposure to keep them in top condition.

What is a SpyderEdge serrated blade good for, and how do I sharpen it?

Spyderco’s SpyderEdge is a fully serrated edge pattern. The serrations grip fibrous materials, so the blade cuts rope, line, and webbing where a plain edge tends to slip. To sharpen it, use the corner of a triangle or tapered rod to touch up each serration from the beveled side, then lightly remove the burr on the flat side. Spyderco also offers factory sharpening service.

What comes with the Enuff Salt CFB31SY?

The CFB31SY ships with the knife and a polymer sheath with a G-Clip mount. Packaging and included items are set by Spyderco and are subject to change.

Where is the Enuff Salt CFB31SY made, and what warranty covers it?

This Enuff Salt is made in Japan. Spyderco warrants that its genuine products are free from defects in material and workmanship for the life of the product. The warranty does not cover loss, theft, accidents, abuse, misuse, improper sharpening, normal wear and tear, or alterations. Shipping to and from Spyderco is the owner’s responsibility.
