The ESEE Sencillo, Spanish for “simple,” is a no-frills fixed blade designed by Jeff Randall around one job: cutting. Slightly larger than the Izula II, this version pairs a 3.25″ A2 tool steel blade with contoured brown burlap Micarta handles and an ambidextrous black Kydex sheath. It is made in the USA by White River Knife and Tool.
A2 tool steel is known for its toughness and for being easy to sharpen, making it a dependable choice for a hard-working daily knife. It holds a practical working edge, resists chipping, and comes back quickly on a stone in the field. The 1/8″ thick blade has a full flat grind for efficient slicing and a tumbled finish that helps hide scratches from daily use. It handles everyday tasks like cutting hay strings, carving wood, and slicing food.
- Blade: 3.25″ A2 tool steel drop point, full flat grind, tumbled finish, 1/8″ thick, plain edge. 7.25″ overall.
- Handle: Brown burlap Micarta with a 3D contoured shape for a comfortable grip.
- Sheath: Ambidextrous black Kydex sheath included.
- Carry: 5.4 oz with sheath, compact enough for everyday carry.
Ideal for: farmers and ranch hands who want a simple daily work knife; bushcrafters who prefer a tough tool steel that is easy to sharpen in the field; and ESEE fans looking for something slightly larger than the Izula II.
Care: A2 is a tool steel, not stainless, and may rust or develop a patina. Keep the blade clean, dry, and lightly oiled, especially after cutting food or working in damp conditions.
