Muela BW-6A Compact Hunter – 2.36″ X50CrMoV15 Stainless Steel Satin Clip Point Plain Edge Blade, Genuine Staghorn Handle – 02MU221

No synthetic material has ever fully replaced what a genuine stag handle delivers: natural warmth, surface texture that improves under wet hands, and a grip profile that’s shaped by nature rather than a mold. The Muela BW-6A is built around that truth — a compact Spanish hunting knife where the staghorn scales are the centerpiece, and every other element earns its place.

The blade is forged from X50CrMoV15 — the molybdenum-vanadium stainless steel that Muela calls “MoVa” and has used for decades across their hunting line. At 57–58 HRC, it offers solid corrosion resistance and dependable edge retention for the tasks a compact field knife actually performs: opening game, slicing camp food, field dressing small animals, and handling everyday cutting at 2.36″. The clip point geometry brings the tip into play cleanly and precisely — a profile hunters have trusted for generations. The satin finish reduces glare and sheds moisture without the maintenance of a bare polished blade.

The handle is the story. Muela has been working stag horn in-house since 1952 — it’s not something they source and fit; it’s something they select, shape, and finish by hand. No two BW-6A handles are identical. Each one carries natural tines, grain variation, and character that synthetic handles can approximate but never duplicate. The BW-6A packages this material in a package weighing just 5.64 oz with a 6.30″ overall length.
