Microtech Dirac D/E Signature Series – 2.92″ M390MK Sand Dune Camo Plain Edge Double-Edge Dagger Blade, Sand Dune Camo Aluminum Handle – 225-1DUCS

The Microtech Dirac is Microtech’s first double-action OTF with a cover-firing slider. This Signature Series version pairs a 2.92″ M390MK double-edge dagger blade with a Sand Dune Camo finish on a compact 2.37 oz aluminum handle.

M390MK is Microtech’s designation for its M390 powder-metallurgy stainless steel, known for strong edge retention and good corrosion resistance. In practice, that means a blade that stays sharp through long stretches of use and resists rust with basic care. The flat-ground dagger blade is 0.12″ thick and sharpened on both edges. Microtech gave the Dirac a curved, ergonomic chassis similar to its HALO, built with Microtech’s proprietary hardware, internal mechanism, and a glass breaker.

• Blade: 2.92″ M390MK double-edge dagger, flat grind, Sand Dune Camo finish, 0.12″ thick, plain edges. 7.25″ overall.
• Handle: 4.33″ curved 6061-T6 aluminum chassis in Sand Dune Camo with matching hardware and a glass breaker.
• Deployment + Lock: Double-action out-the-front (OTF) automatic. The cover-firing slider both deploys and retracts the blade.
• Carry: Pocket clip for tip-down, left- or right-side carry. Knife only; no sheath included.

Ideal for: Microtech collectors adding a Signature Series camo piece; OTF owners who want a compact 7.25″ double-action knife; and experienced automatic-knife users who know their local laws on double-edged blades.

Glass breaker: Laws on knives with glass breakers and similar tools vary. Check your local laws and use this tool lawfully.

⚠️ Automatic knife notice: Federal, state, and local laws restrict the purchase, carry, and transport of automatic knives, including OTF knives. Many jurisdictions also restrict double-edged blades and daggers. You are responsible for knowing and following the laws where you live and travel. Microtech Dirac D/E Sand Dune Camo: Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the most common questions about the Microtech Dirac D/E Signature Series in Sand Dune Camo (225-1DUCS).

Is it legal to own or carry a double-edged OTF automatic like the Dirac where I live?

Automatic knife laws, including those covering OTF knives, vary by federal, state, and local jurisdiction, and many places also restrict double-edged blades and daggers. These laws change. Before ordering, check the laws where you live and carry. The American Knife and Tool Institute keeps state-by-state summaries at akti.org.

How does the Dirac’s cover-firing slider work?

The Dirac is a double-action out-the-front (OTF) knife, so the blade slides straight out of the front of the handle. Its cover-firing slider both deploys and retracts the blade with one hand. Keep your fingers clear of the front of the handle when deploying.

How should I handle and sharpen a double-edge dagger blade?

Both edges of the Dirac’s blade are sharp, so there is no safe spine to rest a finger on. Handle it with extra care when cleaning or closing. When sharpening, work each edge separately at a consistent angle.

What is included with the Dirac, and how does it carry?

The knife ships with its pocket clip installed for tip-down carry, and the clip can be set up for left- or right-side carry. This is a knife-only listing, so no sheath is included. Packaging and contents are subject to change by the manufacturer.

Will the Sand Dune Camo finish wear?

Like any applied finish, the camo coating can show wear at high-contact points with regular carry, use, and sharpening. This is normal and does not affect how the knife functions. The blade underneath is M390MK stainless steel.

What warranty does the Dirac have, and where is it made?

Microtech handles warranty service for this knife. Contact Microtech directly for warranty terms and service. The Dirac is made in the USA.
