Kershaw Launch 9 Auto – 2″ Damascus Drop Point Blade, Black Anodized Aluminum Handle USA Made – 7250DAM

The Kershaw Launch 9 7250DAM is a USA-made side-button automatic folder with a 2-inch Damascus drop point blade on a black anodized aluminum handle — the most compact Damascus automatic in the Kershaw Launch lineup at 2 inches, delivering pattern-per-blade Damascus in a pocket-sized footprint sized for dress carry, professional environments, and situations where a full-size automatic is not the right tool.

The Launch series represents Kershaw’s highest-tier USA-made automatic folder production — side-button deployment, KVT ball-bearing pivot, liner lock retention. The Launch 9 7250DAM applies the same Damascus blade technology found in the full-size Launch 8 (3.5″), Launch 15 (3.5″), and Launch 16 (3.45″) Damascus automatics to a 2-inch compact footprint — the only compact Damascus automatic in the Launch lineup at this blade length. Damascus steel is produced by forge-welding two or more steel alloys in alternating layers, manipulating the billet through twisting, folding, or patterning before grinding to final geometry and acid-etching to reveal the contrasting layer pattern. No two Damascus blades carry an identical pattern: the 7250DAM you receive is the only one with that exact pattern in existence. At 2 inches, the Launch 9 occupies the same compact carry niche as the CPM-154 Launch 4 (1.9″) and Launch 18 (2.79″), but brings Damascus steel to that compact format — a combination available nowhere else in the production compact automatic market. The drop point geometry delivers a lowered, versatile tip on a compact blade that handles everyday cutting tasks effectively despite the 2-inch length. The black anodized aluminum handle maintains the same carry-neutral zero-signature aesthetic — the Damascus pattern as the sole visual statement against an uninterrupted black frame. Damascus requires active moisture maintenance regardless of blade length — wipe dry after moisture exposure and oil before storage. All assembled in Tualatin, Oregon on Kershaw’s USA production floor.
