Kershaw Launch 22 Auto – 3.45″ CPM MagnaCut Blackwashed Spear Point Blade, OD Green Anodized Aluminum & Micarta Handle USA Made – 7205

The Kershaw Launch 22 7205 is a USA-made side-button automatic folder with a 3.45-inch CPM MagnaCut blackwash spear point blade on an OD green anodized aluminum handle with Micarta inserts — the field-carry colorway of the Launch 22 platform, pairing Crucible’s benchmark alloy with the most tactically purposeful handle color in the Launch 22 lineup alongside the organic grip texture of natural fiber Micarta.

CPM MagnaCut is the steel that changed the conversation for American-made production knives. Engineered by metallurgist Larrin Thomas and produced by Crucible Industries, CPM MagnaCut simultaneously outperforms CPM-S35VN and M390 in edge retention, toughness, and corrosion resistance. The Launch 22 7205 brings this benchmark alloy to the side-button automatic folder format in the OD green aluminum and Micarta configuration — the field-carry aesthetic of the three Launch 22 colorways. The blackwash spear point blade adds a dark, functional corrosion barrier on top of CPM MagnaCut’s own near-H1 resistance. The OD green anodized aluminum handle with Micarta inserts is the most immediately field-purposeful handle in the Launch 22 lineup: OD green anodize reads as tactically deliberate and carries without question in field, outdoor, military, and law enforcement contexts, while the Micarta inserts add natural fiber grip texture that performs in gloved-hand and wet conditions. Micarta is produced by saturating layers of natural fiber — linen, canvas, or burlap — with phenolic resin under heat and pressure, creating a composite that develops a patina with handling over time and provides organic grip warmth alongside the OD green aluminum’s precision machined frame. The dark blackwash blade against OD green aluminum and natural Micarta creates a three-surface visual combination — dark blade, field-green aluminum, natural fiber inserts — that reads as the most field-ready configuration in the Launch 22 lineup. All assembled in Tualatin, Oregon on Kershaw’s USA production floor.

First responders, military, law enforcement, and outdoor tactical carry buyers who want the Launch 22 MagnaCut platform in the field-carry OD green colorway — the 7205 is the most tactically field-purposeful of the three Launch 22 colorways, carrying with deliberate field intent in environments where FDE or blue aluminum would read as less contextually appropriate. Field and outdoor buyers whose carry kit runs in OD green and earth tones who want the CPM MagnaCut Launch 22 to match that system. Collectors completing the Launch 22 MagnaCut color family who want the OD green alongside the blue and FDE variants as the full three-colorway set.
