Kershaw Launch 17 Auto – 3.5″ CPM S35VN Black Cerakote Clip Point Blade, OD Green Aluminum & G-10 Inlays Handle USA Made – 7951OLBLK

The Kershaw Launch 17 7951OLBLK is a USA-made side-button automatic folder with a 3.5-inch CPM S35VN black Cerakote clip point blade on an OD green anodized aluminum handle with G-10 inlays — the field-carry Launch 17 in the industry-benchmark stainless tool steel, delivering the refined clip point geometry in the most tactically purposeful handle color with G-10 grip panels.

The Launch series represents Kershaw’s highest-tier USA-made automatic folder production — KVT ball-bearing pivot, side-button deployment, liner lock retention. The Launch 17 7951OLBLK runs CPM S35VN, Crucible’s collaboration with knife designer Chris Reeve — a powder metallurgy stainless steel specifically engineered for knife blades, with a carbide structure optimized for edge retention and toughness simultaneously at a corrosion resistance level that makes it a top-tier production stainless. CPM S35VN was for years the standard by which premium production knife steels were measured — excellent edge retention, better toughness than CPM S30V, excellent corrosion resistance, and a clean sharpening behavior on standard equipment. The 7951OLBLK is the field-carry variant of the Launch 17 clip point lineup, pairing CPM S35VN with the OD green anodized aluminum handle and G-10 inlays that carry the most tactically deliberate and field-purposeful signal available on the Launch 17 platform. Where the 7951BLK’s black aluminum reads as carry-neutral and professional, the 7951OLBLK’s OD green reads with immediate field-carry intent — a color that communicates tactical use in any first responder, law enforcement, military, or outdoor carry context. G-10 inlays add hard, moisture-impervious fiberglass composite grip panels alongside the aluminum frame. The black Cerakote clip point blade against OD green and G-10 creates a fully field-hardened, field-carry-signaling package. All assembled in Tualatin, Oregon on Kershaw’s USA production floor.

• Blade: CPM S35VN stainless steel, clip point profile, black Cerakote finish — industry-benchmark powder metallurgy stainless with excellent edge retention, toughness, and corrosion resistance; Cerakote adds a polymer-ceramic barrier on top of S35VN’s excellent stainless resistance; refined clip point geometry with acute lowered tip
• Handle: OD green anodized aluminum with G-10 inlays — the field-carry Launch 17 colorway; OD green reads as tactically deliberate in every field, tactical, and outdoor context; G-10 inlays add moisture-impervious hard grip panels
• Deployment: Side-button automatic — press the button on the spine; KVT ball-bearing pivot delivers fast, smooth, one-hand deployment; liner lock retention
• Carry: Longest clip point in the Launch lineup at 3.5 inches, USA made (confirm clip configuration)
