Kershaw Launch 13 Auto – 3.5″ CPM-154 Black Wharncliffe Blade, Black Anodized Aluminum Handle USA Made – 7650BLK

The Kershaw Launch 13 7650BLK is the all-black version of the Launch 13 Wharncliffe — CPM-154 under a black blade finish on a black anodized aluminum handle, the most carry-neutral and zero-signature configuration of the only Wharncliffe automatic in Kershaw’s Launch lineup.

The Launch series represents Kershaw’s highest-tier USA-made automatic folder production — KVT ball-bearing pivot, side-button deployment, liner lock retention, and blade steel that positions each variant precisely in the performance hierarchy. The Launch 13 7650BLK runs CPM-154, Crucible’s powder metallurgy version of 154CM — more uniform carbide distribution, better edge retention, improved toughness, and excellent corrosion resistance. The Wharncliffe blade geometry keeps the spine completely flat and curves the entire edge upward to meet at a centered tip, producing a flat cutting surface parallel to the work surface for the full blade length — the precision push-cut and controlled slicing specialist in the Launch catalog. Where the 7650RAW runs a stonewash blade on silver/raw aluminum — bare natural steel showing its own color against uncoated metal — the 7650BLK runs a black blade finish on a black anodized aluminum handle. Both materials disappear into a single unified dark unit: the black blade and black handle read as one carry piece with no tonal variation, the most carry-neutral configuration available for the Wharncliffe platform. The black blade finish adds a functional corrosion barrier on top of CPM-154’s already excellent stainless corrosion resistance. At 3.5 inches, the Launch 13 carries the longest blade in the Launch catalog. All assembled in Tualatin, Oregon on Kershaw’s USA production floor.

• Blade: CPM-154 stainless steel, Wharncliffe profile, black finish — powder metallurgy stainless with excellent edge retention and corrosion resistance; flat spine, full-length curved edge meeting at a centered tip; the only Wharncliffe automatic in the Launch lineup, under a black coating for zero visual signature
• Handle: Black anodized aluminum — fully unified all-black package, black blade and black handle reading as a single zero-signature unit; the most carry-neutral Wharncliffe configuration available
• Deployment: Side-button automatic — press the button on the spine; KVT ball-bearing pivot delivers fast, smooth, one-hand deployment; liner lock retention
• Carry: Longest Launch blade at 3.5 inches, USA made (confirm clip configuration)
