The Kershaw Launch 12 CA-Legal Mini Stiletto Automatic (7130BLUBLK) is built for one of the most restrictive carry environments in the country — California — without giving up the CPM-154 steel, USA manufacture, or side-button automatic action that defines the entire Launch series. The 1.9-inch blade falls below the 2-inch threshold established in California Penal Code Section 17235, which defines a switchblade as a knife with a blade 2 inches or longer. Verify current California law and any applicable local ordinances before purchasing or carrying.

The stiletto blade is black DLC-coated CPM-154 powder-metallurgy stainless — hardened to 59–61 HRC, the same premium steel found in every Launch knife regardless of blade length. The blue anodized 6061-T6 aluminum handle with a carbon fiber inlay is clean, distinctive, and completely at home in both carry contexts and collections. The ambidextrous side-button deploys the blade instantly; a liner lock holds it open. A reversible deep-carry clip rides tip-up in either hand.
