Kershaw Kai Shun Wasabi Black Santoku – 6.5″ Daido 1K6 High-Carbon Stainless Blade Bamboo-Poly Handle 6716S

The Kershaw Kai Shun Wasabi Black Santoku (6716S) is a precision-engineered, all-purpose Japanese kitchen knife that blends traditional aesthetics with modern high-performance materials. Designed as a versatile alternative to the classic chef’s knife, the Santoku (meaning “three virtues”) excels at slicing, dicing, and mincing. Its shorter blade and downturned tip provide exceptional maneuverability, making it the ideal choice for cooks with smaller hands or those working in compact kitchen spaces.

The 6.5-inch blade is crafted from Daido 1K6 high-carbon stainless steel, a superior alloy that offers excellent edge retention and high corrosion resistance. The blade surface is embellished with the Japanese characters for “wasabi,” adding a touch of authentic heritage to your cutlery collection. The handle is a unique fusion of cleanliness and nature, constructed from polypropylene blended with real bamboo powder. This specialized material is naturally antibacterial, helping to prevent the growth of germs in high-moisture kitchen environments. With its slightly flatter edge, the Wasabi Santoku is optimized for clean push cuts while retaining enough belly curve for efficient rocking and mincing.

• 6.5″ Daido 1K6 High-Carbon Stainless Steel Blade featuring a double-bevel edge for professional-grade sharpness and precision across all food types.

• Antibacterial Bamboo-Polymer Handle made from a sturdy polypropylene and real bamboo powder blend for a clean, secure, and sustainable grip.

• Versatile Santoku Profile with a downturned tip and high handle position to reduce hand fatigue and provide better clearance over the cutting board.

• Traditional Japanese Styling with “wasabi” character blade embellishments and a seamless handle-to-blade transition for superior hygiene.
