Heretic Medusa Auto – 3″ Black Wash CPM MagnaCut Blade, Tri-Camo G10 Handle – H011-5A-G10/CAMO

The Heretic Medusa Auto H011-5A-G10/CAMO pairs a 3-inch Black Wash CPM MagnaCut blade with a Tri-Camo G10 handle, bringing a rugged material combination and a tactical colorway to Heretic’s Medusa automatic platform.

CPM MagnaCut is Crucible’s stainless steel engineered specifically for knife blades by metallurgist Larrin Thomas, rather than optimizing for one property, MagnaCut is formulated to deliver strong edge retention, corrosion resistance, and toughness simultaneously, closing the gap that usually forces a tradeoff between the three. Its balanced carbide structure keeps it easier to sharpen than extreme high-vanadium steels like CPM-S90V, while still outperforming older workhorse stainless steels like D2, 154CM, and CPM-S30V on corrosion resistance and edge stability.

The Black Wash finish combines a stonewashed texture with a blackened treatment on the CPM MagnaCut blade, giving it a low-glare, worn-in look distinct from a plain satin or DLC finish.

G10 is a fiberglass-epoxy laminate handle material valued for its light weight, durability, and secure grip texture, here finished in a Tri-Camo pattern for a distinctive tactical look.

The automatic mechanism deploys the blade at the push of a button, Heretic’s automatics typically use an out-the-front (OTF) design, though this should be confirmed for the Medusa platform specifically.

• Blade: 3″ CPM MagnaCut blade, Black Wash finish, balanced edge retention, corrosion resistance, and toughness; Black Wash combines stonewash texture with a blackened treatment for a low-glare, worn-in look.
• Handle: Tri-Camo G10, a lightweight, durable fiberglass-epoxy laminate with a tactical camo pattern.
• Deployment: Push-button automatic, likely out-the-front (OTF) based on the pattern of Heretic’s other automatics, not explicitly confirmed for the Medusa platform.
• Carry: 3-inch blade platform on Heretic’s Medusa line, overall length, closed length, and weight not confirmed this session, verify against hereticknives.com before publishing.
