ESEE-CM6 – 5.88″ 1095 Black Plain Edge Clip Point Blade, Tan Micarta Handle – ESEE-CM-6

The ESEE-CM6 is a full-size field knife with a 5⅞” clip point blade in 1095 carbon steel, finished in black, with a full-size tan canvas Micarta handle and a black Kydex sheath. It is sized for heavy outdoor work without adding excessive weight to your gear.

1095 carbon steel is a classic choice for large field knives: tough, easy to sharpen, and forgiving under hard use. ESEE runs it at 55-57 HRC and finishes it in black for a low-profile look and added protection. The 0.19″ thick, flat-ground clip point blade has a sharpened swedge along the top of the tip for fine point work, and the full-size Micarta handle is shaped for a secure, stable grip during chopping, batoning, and camp tasks. The Kydex sheath is designed with multiple carry options.

• Blade: 5.88″ 1095 carbon steel clip point, black finish, flat grind, plain edge, sharpened swedge, 0.19″ thick, 55-57 HRC. 11.13″ overall.
• Handle: Full-size tan canvas Micarta, shaped for a secure and stable grip. 5.25″ handle length.
• Sheath: Black Kydex sheath with multiple carry options.
• Carry: 10.00 oz.

Ideal for: hunters and backcountry campers who want one large fixed blade for heavy camp work; outdoor users who prefer a clip point with a fine, controllable tip; and buyers who want a low-profile black blade on a full-size field knife.

Care: 1095 is carbon steel, not stainless. The black finish helps protect the blade, but the edge and any worn areas can rust or patina. Keep the knife dry and lightly oiled.

ESEE-CM6 Black: Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the most common questions about the ESEE-CM6 with a black blade and tan Micarta (ESEE-CM-6).

What kind of blade and sheath does the ESEE-CM6 have?

It is a fixed blade with a 5.88-inch 1095 carbon steel clip point blade, 0.19 inch thick, hardened to 55-57 HRC, with a black finish, a flat grind, a plain edge, and a sharpened swedge. It comes with a black Kydex sheath with multiple carry options.

What is included with the ESEE-CM6?

The knife comes with its black Kydex sheath. Contents are subject to change by the manufacturer.

What is a sharpened swedge?

The swedge is the angled section along the top of a clip point near the tip. On the CM6 it is sharpened, which gives the tip a finer point for detail work. Because that top edge near the tip is sharp, handle the knife with care. Some local laws treat a sharpened swedge as a double edge, so check the laws where you live and carry.

Should I choose the black or Tactical Gray ESEE-CM6?

Both share the same 5.88-inch 1095 clip point blade, tan Micarta handle, and black Kydex sheath. Choose the black blade for a low-profile look, or the Tactical Gray finish for a lighter, distinctive color.

Will the 1095 carbon steel blade rust?

It can. 1095 is carbon steel, not stainless. The black finish helps protect the blade, but the edge and any worn areas can rust or patina if left wet. Wipe the knife dry after use and keep a light coat of oil on the edge.

What warranty does the ESEE-CM6 have, and where is it made?

ESEE describes its warranty as one of the most extensive available. Contact ESEE or visit eseeknives.com for current warranty terms and service. The ESEE-CM6 is made in the USA.
