ESEE-6 – 6.50″ 1095 Black Plain Edge Drop Point Blade, Gray Micarta Handle (Knife Only) – ESEE-6P-KO

The ESEE-6 is a full-size survival knife that balances size, weight, and heft: nimble enough for smaller tasks, with enough weight and edge length for bigger jobs. This knife-only version pairs a 6.50″ black-coated 1095 drop-point blade with gray Micarta handle scales. No sheath is included.

1095 carbon steel is a classic choice for large survival knives: tough, easy to sharpen in the field, and forgiving under hard use. ESEE runs it at 55-57 HRC. The 0.19″ thick, flat-ground plain edge handles chopping, batoning, and camp work along its full length. Hold the handle further back for more power when chopping, or choke up onto the finger choil for control during precise carving.

• Blade: 6.50″ 1095 carbon steel drop point, black finish, flat grind, plain edge, 0.19″ thick, 55-57 HRC. 11.75″ overall.
• Handle: Gray Micarta with a finger choil for a secure grip whether chopping or carving. 5.25″ handle length.
• Sheath: None. This is a knife-only listing.
• Carry: 12.00 oz. Pair it with a sheath made for the ESEE-6.

Ideal for: ESEE-6 owners who already have a sheath they want to use; buyers planning a custom Kydex or leather sheath; and anyone who wants a spare ESEE-6 blade for a second kit.

Care: 1095 is carbon steel, not stainless. The black finish helps protect the blade, but the edge and any worn areas can rust or patina. Keep the knife dry and lightly oiled, and store it safely until it has a sheath.

Knife only; no sheath included.

ESEE-6 Knife Only: Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the most common questions about the ESEE-6 Knife Only with a black blade and gray Micarta (ESEE-6P-KO).

What kind of blade does this ESEE-6 have?

It is a fixed blade with a 6.50-inch 1095 carbon steel drop-point blade, 0.19 inch thick, hardened to 55-57 HRC, with a black finish, a flat grind, and a plain edge. It comes without a sheath.

What is included with the ESEE-6 Knife Only?

This listing includes the knife only. No sheath is included. Contents are subject to change by the manufacturer.

What sheath should I use with this knife?

Use a sheath made for the ESEE-6, or have a custom Kydex or leather sheath made for it.

How do I use the ESEE-6 for both chopping and carving?

For chopping, hold the handle further back to put more of the blade’s weight into each swing. For precise carving and detail work, choke up and place your finger in the finger choil just behind the edge for added control.

Will the 1095 carbon steel blade rust?

It can. 1095 is carbon steel, not stainless, so it needs more care than stainless steels. The black finish helps protect the blade, but the edge and any worn areas can rust or patina if left wet. Wipe the knife dry after use and keep a light coat of oil on it.

What warranty does the ESEE-6 have, and where is it made?

ESEE describes its warranty as one of the most extensive available. Contact ESEE or visit eseeknives.com for current warranty terms and service. The ESEE-6 is made in the USA.
