ESEE-6 – 6.50″ 1095 Black Part Serrated Drop Point Blade, Gray Micarta Handle (Knife Only) – ESEE-6S-KO

The ESEE-6 is a full-size survival knife that balances size, weight, and heft: nimble enough for smaller tasks, with enough weight and edge length for bigger jobs. This knife-only version pairs a 6.50″ black-coated 1095 drop-point blade with a partially serrated edge and gray Micarta handle scales. No sheath is included.

1095 carbon steel is a classic choice for large survival knives: tough, easy to sharpen in the field, and forgiving under hard use. ESEE runs it at 55-57 HRC. The 0.19″ thick, flat-ground blade handles chopping, batoning, and camp work, while the serrated section near the handle helps cut through rope, cordage, and webbing. Hold the handle further back for more power when chopping, or choke up onto the finger choil for control during precise carving.

• Blade: 6.50″ 1095 carbon steel drop point, black finish, flat grind, partially serrated edge, 0.19″ thick, 55-57 HRC. 11.75″ overall.
• Handle: Gray Micarta with a finger choil, for a secure grip whether chopping or carving. 5.25″ handle length.
• Sheath: None. This is a knife-only listing.
• Carry: 12.00 oz. Pair it with a sheath made for the standard ESEE-6.

Ideal for: ESEE-6 owners who already have a sheath they want to use; buyers planning a custom Kydex or leather sheath; and anyone who wants a spare partially serrated ESEE-6 for a second kit.

Care: 1095 is carbon steel, not stainless. The black finish helps protect the blade, but the edge and any worn areas can rust or patina. Keep the knife dry and lightly oiled, and store it safely until it has a sheath.

Knife only; no sheath included.

ESEE-6 Knife Only, Partially Serrated: Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the most common questions about the ESEE-6 Knife Only with a partially serrated black blade and gray Micarta (ESEE-6S-KO).

What kind of blade does this ESEE-6 have?

It is a fixed blade with a 6.50-inch 1095 carbon steel drop-point blade, 0.19 inch thick, hardened to 55-57 HRC, with a black finish, a flat grind, and a partially serrated edge. It comes without a sheath.

What is included with the ESEE-6 Knife Only?

This listing includes the knife only. No sheath is included. Contents are subject to change by the manufacturer.

What sheath should I use with this knife?

Use a sheath made for the standard ESEE-6, or have a custom Kydex or leather sheath made for it. Sheaths for the ESEE-6 3D Handle versions may not fit, because their handles differ.

Can I buy this knife with a sheath?

Yes. The same partially serrated black blade and gray Micarta handle come with a Coyote Brown sheath as the ESEE-6S, a black sheath as the ESEE-6S-B, or an OD Green sheath as the ESEE-6S-OD. For a plain edge without a sheath, choose the ESEE-6P-KO.

How do I sharpen and care for this knife?

Sharpen the plain section as you would any plain edge, and use a tapered ceramic rod on the beveled side of the serrations. 1095 is carbon steel, not stainless, so wipe the knife dry after use and keep a light coat of oil on it. The black finish helps protect the blade, but the edge and any worn areas can rust or patina if left wet.

What warranty does the ESEE-6 have, and where is it made?

ESEE describes its warranty as one of the most extensive available. Contact ESEE or visit eseeknives.com for current warranty terms and service. The ESEE-6 is made in the USA.
