ESEE-6 3D Handle – 6.50″ 1095 OD Green Plain Edge Drop Point Blade, OD Green and Black 3D G-10 Handle – 6POD-003

The ESEE-6 is a full-size survival knife that balances size, weight, and heft: nimble enough for smaller tasks, with enough weight and edge length for bigger jobs. This 3D Handle version pairs a 6.50″ OD Green 1095 drop-point blade with contoured OD Green and black G-10 handle scales and a black injection-molded sheath, for a matched, field-ready look.

1095 carbon steel is a classic choice for large survival knives: tough, easy to sharpen in the field, and forgiving under hard use. ESEE runs it at 55-57 HRC. The flat-ground plain edge handles chopping, batoning, and camp work along its full length. Hold the handle further back for more power when chopping, or choke up onto the finger choil for control during precise carving.

• Blade: 6.50″ 1095 carbon steel drop point, OD Green finish, flat grind, plain edge, 55-57 HRC. 11.75″ overall.
• Handle: 3D-contoured OD Green and black G-10 with a finger choil for a secure grip. 5.25″ handle length.
• Sheath: Black injection-molded sheath included.
• Carry: 13.00 oz.

Ideal for: backcountry campers and hunters who want one full-size knife for chopping and detail work; survival and bushcraft trainees who need a large, tough fixed blade; and outdoor users who want a matched OD Green colorway that blends into the field.

Care: 1095 is carbon steel, not stainless. The OD Green finish helps protect the blade, but the edge and any worn areas can rust or patina. Keep the knife dry and lightly oiled.

ESEE-6 3D Handle OD Green: Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the most common questions about the ESEE-6 3D Handle in OD Green with OD Green and black G-10 (6POD-003).

What kind of blade and sheath does the ESEE-6 3D Handle have?

It is a fixed blade with a 6.50-inch 1095 carbon steel drop-point blade, hardened to 55-57 HRC, with an OD Green finish, a flat grind, and a plain edge. It comes with a black injection-molded sheath.

What is included with the ESEE-6 3D Handle?

The knife comes with its black injection-molded sheath. Contents are subject to change by the manufacturer.

Which ESEE-6 3D Handle colorway should I choose?

All four share the same 6.50-inch 1095 blade, plain edge, 3D G-10 handle shape, and sheath. Choose OD Green for a matched, field-ready look, or Dark Earth, 6PDE-001, for another subdued option. For a high-visibility handle that is easier to spot in the field, choose orange, 6POR-006, or Venom Green, 6PVG-007.

How do I use the ESEE-6 for both chopping and carving?

For chopping, hold the handle further back to put more of the blade’s weight into each swing. For precise carving and detail work, choke up and place your finger in the finger choil just behind the edge for added control.

Will the 1095 carbon steel blade rust?

It can. 1095 is carbon steel, not stainless, so it needs more care than stainless steels. The OD Green finish helps protect the blade, but the edge and any worn areas can rust or patina if left wet. Wipe the knife dry after use and keep a light coat of oil on it.

What warranty does the ESEE-6 have, and where is it made?

ESEE describes its warranty as one of the most extensive available. Contact ESEE or visit eseeknives.com for current warranty terms and service. The ESEE-6 is made in the USA.
