ESEE-4 – 4.5″ CPM-S35VN Stonewash Plain Edge Drop Point Blade, Orange G-10 Handle – ESEE-4P35V-OR

This ESEE-4 upgrades ESEE’s go-to survival and bushcraft knife to a 4.5″ CPM S35VN stainless steel drop point with a stonewash finish, paired with a high-visibility orange G-10 handle and a black molded sheath.

Jeff Randall and Mike Perrin designed the ESEE-4 as an all-around survival, bushcraft, and tactical knife, and ESEE notes it has been used by military, law enforcement, and adventurers, including at Randall’s Adventure & Training jungle survival school. This version swaps ESEE’s standard 1095 carbon steel for CPM S35VN at 59-60 HRC, a powder-metallurgy stainless steel that holds an edge longer than 1095 and resists corrosion far better, so it needs less upkeep in wet or humid conditions. The 0.188″ stock and flat grind keep the ESEE-4’s balance of strength and slicing, and the stonewash finish hides wear. The orange G-10 handle is grippy and easy to spot when set down outdoors.

• Blade: 4.5″ CPM S35VN stainless steel drop point, flat grind, plain edge, stonewash finish, 0.188″ thick, 59-60 HRC. 9.0″ overall.
• Handle: Orange G-10, 4.5″ long, high visibility with a secure grip.
• Construction: Fixed blade, with no folding or locking mechanism.
• Carry: 8.0 oz. Includes an injection-molded black polymer sheath.

Ideal for: ESEE-4 fans who want stainless steel and longer edge retention; hunters, anglers, and paddlers who work around water and want less rust maintenance; and outdoorsmen who want a high-visibility handle that’s easy to find in the field.

ESEE-4 CPM S35VN, Orange G-10: Frequently Asked Questions
