ESEE-3 – 3.88″ 1095 OD Green Plain Edge Drop Point Blade, Orange G-10 Handle, Modified Pommel – ESEE-3PM-OD

The ESEE-3 is an all-purpose outdoor, bushcraft, and survival fixed blade, built to be tough while staying compact and lightweight. This version pairs a 3.88″ OD Green 1095 drop-point blade with a full plain edge, high-visibility orange G-10 handle scales with a modified pommel, and a black polymer sheath.

1095 carbon steel is a classic outdoor steel: tough, easy to sharpen in the field, and dependable under hard use. ESEE runs it at 55-57 HRC. The 0.125″ thick, flat-ground blade slices thin for processing game and making tinder, and the full plain edge makes sharpening simple. The modified pommel gives the handle a distinct profile and a slightly shorter overall length than the standard ESEE-3, and the orange G-10 is easy to spot in the field.

• Blade: 3.88″ 1095 carbon steel drop point, OD Green finish, flat grind, plain edge, 0.125″ thick, 55-57 HRC. 8.19″ overall.
• Handle: Orange G-10 with a modified pommel, for a secure, high-visibility grip. 4.31″ handle length.
• Sheath: Injection-molded black polymer sheath included.
• Carry: 5.2 oz.

Ideal for: bushcrafters and survival trainees who want a compact, all-purpose fixed blade; hunters who want a high-visibility handle that is easy to find; and ESEE-3 fans who prefer the modified pommel with a full plain edge.

Care: 1095 is carbon steel, not stainless. The OD Green finish helps protect the blade, but the edge and any worn areas can rust or patina. Keep the knife dry and lightly oiled.

ESEE-3 Modified Pommel, OD Green and Orange, Plain Edge: Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the most common questions about the ESEE-3 with a modified pommel, plain-edge OD Green blade, orange G-10, and black sheath (ESEE-3PM-OD).

What kind of blade and sheath does this ESEE-3 have?

It is a fixed blade with a 3.88-inch 1095 carbon steel drop-point blade, 0.125 inch thick, hardened to 55-57 HRC, with an OD Green finish, a flat grind, and a plain edge. It comes with an injection-molded black polymer sheath.

What is included with this ESEE-3?

The knife comes with its black polymer sheath. Contents are subject to change by the manufacturer.

How is the modified pommel different from the standard ESEE-3?

The modified pommel gives the handle a distinct profile and makes the knife slightly shorter: 8.19 inches overall with a 4.31-inch handle, compared with 8.31 inches and 4.43 inches on the standard-pommel ESEE-3. The blade is the same.

How is this different from other orange G-10 ESEE-3 versions?

This version pairs a plain-edge OD Green blade with the modified pommel and a black sheath. The ESEE-3SM-OD is the same with a partially serrated edge, the ESEE-3P-OD has the standard pommel, and the ESEE-3PM-VG pairs the modified pommel and orange G-10 with a Venom Green blade.

Will the 1095 carbon steel blade rust?

It can. 1095 is carbon steel, not stainless, so it needs more care than stainless steels. The OD Green finish helps protect the blade, but the edge and any worn areas can rust or patina if left wet. Wipe the knife dry after use and keep a light coat of oil on it.

What warranty does the ESEE-3 have, and where is it made?

ESEE describes its warranty as one of the most extensive available. Contact ESEE or visit eseeknives.com for current warranty terms and service. The ESEE-3 is made in the USA.
