ESEE-3 – 3.88″ 1095 OD Green Part Serrated Drop Point Blade, Orange G-10 Handle (Knife Only) – ESEE-3S-KO-OD

The ESEE-3 is an all-purpose outdoor, bushcraft, and survival fixed blade, built to be tough while staying compact and lightweight. This knife-only version pairs a 3.88″ OD Green 1095 drop-point blade with a partially serrated edge and high-visibility orange G-10 handle scales. No sheath is included.

1095 carbon steel is a classic outdoor steel: tough, easy to sharpen in the field, and dependable under hard use. ESEE runs it at 55-57 HRC. The 0.125″ thick, flat-ground blade slices thin for processing game and making tinder, while the serrated section near the handle helps cut through rope, cordage, webbing, and other tough materials. The orange G-10 scales are durable, moisture resistant, and easy to spot in the field.

• Blade: 3.88″ 1095 carbon steel drop point, OD Green finish, flat grind, partially serrated edge, 0.125″ thick, 55-57 HRC. 8.31″ overall.
• Handle: Orange G-10 for a secure, high-visibility grip. 4.43″ handle length.
• Sheath: None. This is a knife-only listing.
• Carry: 5.2 oz. Pair it with a sheath made for the standard ESEE-3.

Ideal for: ESEE-3 owners who already have a sheath they want to use; buyers planning a custom Kydex or leather sheath; and anyone who wants a spare high-visibility ESEE-3 for a second kit.

Care: 1095 is carbon steel, not stainless. The OD Green finish helps protect the blade, but the edge and any worn areas can rust or patina. Keep the knife dry and lightly oiled, and store it safely until it has a sheath.

Knife only; no sheath included.

ESEE-3 Knife Only, OD Green and Orange: Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the most common questions about the ESEE-3 Knife Only with a partially serrated OD Green blade and orange G-10 (ESEE-3S-KO-OD).

What kind of blade does this ESEE-3 have?

It is a fixed blade with a 3.88-inch 1095 carbon steel drop-point blade, 0.125 inch thick, hardened to 55-57 HRC, with an OD Green finish, a flat grind, and a partially serrated edge. It comes without a sheath.

What is included with the ESEE-3 Knife Only?

This listing includes the knife only. No sheath is included. Contents are subject to change by the manufacturer.

What sheath should I use with this knife?

Use a sheath made for the standard ESEE-3, or have a custom Kydex or leather sheath made for it. Sheaths for the ESEE-3HM and the ESEE-3 3D Handle versions may not fit, because their handles differ.

Can I buy this knife with a sheath?

Yes. The same partially serrated OD Green blade and orange G-10 handle come with a MOLLE-back sheath as the ESEE-3S-MB-OD-CO. For a full plain edge in the same colorway with a black MOLLE-back sheath, choose the ESEE-3P-MB-OD.

How do I sharpen and care for this knife?

Sharpen the plain section as you would any plain edge, and use a tapered ceramic rod on the beveled side of the serrations. 1095 is carbon steel, not stainless, so wipe the knife dry after use and keep a light coat of oil on it. The OD Green finish helps protect the blade, but the edge and any worn areas can rust or patina if left wet.

What warranty does the ESEE-3 have, and where is it made?

ESEE describes its warranty as one of the most extensive available. Contact ESEE or visit eseeknives.com for current warranty terms and service. The ESEE-3 is made in the USA.
