CRKT Bear Claw Rescue (2511Y) – 2.39″ AUS-8 Satin Blunt Tip Hawkbill Blade with Veff Serrations Yellow Glass-Reinforced Nylon Handle CR2511Y

The Bear Claw™ Rescue is a mission-specific fixed blade engineered for high-stakes environments where speed, safety, and reliability are non-negotiable. Originally designed for whitewater rafters, professional boaters, and first responders, this compact “emergency” knife excels in aquatic and rescue scenarios. This edition features a high-visibility yellow handle, making it easy to locate in low-light or turbulent water conditions. Its unique hawkbill profile is specifically designed to “grab” and slice through fibrous materials with a single pulling motion, providing a critical advantage when seconds matter.

The 2.39″ hawkbill blade is crafted from AUS-8 stainless steel, a high-performance alloy chosen for its exceptional corrosion resistance and ability to take a razor-sharp edge. The cutting edge is equipped with Veff Serrations™, which are specifically angled to provide aggressive, lightning-fast cutting of heavy rope, nylon webbing, and seatbelts. For added safety in high-pressure situations, the blade features a blunt rescue tip, virtually eliminating the risk of accidental punctures to inflatable rafts, gear, or victims during a rescue. The yellow glass-reinforced nylon (GRN) handle is ergonomically contoured with a large finger retention hole, ensuring the knife remains locked in your hand even in freezing or slippery wet conditions.

• 2.39″ AUS-8 Steel Blade: Provides a professional-grade balance of toughness, edge retention, and superior corrosion resistance in salt and freshwater.

• Aggressive Veff Serrations™: Expertly engineered to tear through thick cordage, straps, and rescue lines with minimal effort.

• Blunt Safety Tip: Specifically designed to prevent accidental damage to inflatables and personal protective equipment during emergency use.

• High-Visibility Yellow GRN Handle: Offers a lightweight, durable, and high-traction grip that is easy to identify in a gear bag or underwater.

• Integrated Finger Retention Hole: Provides a secondary point of contact for maximum control and security during high-leverage pulling cuts.
