Candiru Survival Kit – 2.00″ 1095 Purple Plain Edge Drop Point Blade, Purple Skeletonized Handle – ESEE-CAN-PURP-KIT

The ESEE Candiru Survival Kit pairs the ultra-compact Candiru fixed blade with a set of essential carry and survival accessories. This Purple version includes a 2.00″ 1095 carbon steel drop-point blade, a matching skeletonized steel handle, an injection-molded white polymer sheath, and a kit with paracord, a ferro rod, and an emergency whistle, with the knife itself weighing just 1.7 oz.

1095 carbon steel is a proven choice for hard-use field knives: it’s tough, easy to sharpen in the field, and takes a keen working edge. This blade is hardened to 55-57 HRC and ground with a flat grind and plain edge for clean slicing. The Purple finish and contrasting white sheath make the knife easy to spot if it’s set down outdoors, and the finish helps protect the carbon steel. The included accessories make it a grab-and-go setup, with a ferro rod for fire, a whistle for signaling, and paracord, a cord lock, split rings, and a snap hook for rigging the knife to suit how you carry it.

• Blade: 2.00″ 1095 carbon steel drop point, Purple finish, flat grind, plain edge, 0.125″ thick, 55-57 HRC.
• Handle: Skeletonized steel with a Purple finish. 3.13″ handle length, 5.13″ overall.
• Kit Accessories: Paracord, cord lock, large and small split rings, ferro fire starting rod, emergency whistle, and plastic snap hook.
• Carry: 1.7 oz (knife only), with an injection-molded white polymer sheath.

Ideal for: hikers and campers who want a tiny backup knife with fire and signaling tools in a color that’s easy to find; carriers who want a kit that stands out from the usual earth tones; and ESEE collectors adding a distinctive Candiru kit to their lineup.

ESEE Candiru Survival Kit Purple: Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the most common questions about the ESEE Candiru Survival Kit with a Purple 1095 carbon steel blade, skeletonized steel handle, white sheath, and survival accessories (ESEE-CAN-PURP-KIT).

What comes in the Candiru Survival Kit?

The kit includes the ESEE Candiru knife in Purple with an injection-molded white polymer sheath, plus paracord, a cord lock, a large split ring, a small split ring, a ferro fire starting rod, an emergency whistle, and a plastic snap hook. Contents are subject to change by the manufacturer.

What kind of blade does the Candiru have?

It has a 2.00-inch 1095 carbon steel drop-point blade, 0.125 inch thick, hardened to 55-57 HRC, with a Purple finish, a flat grind, and a plain edge. The knife measures 5.13 inches overall with a 3.13-inch skeletonized steel handle and weighs 1.7 ounces.

How can I carry the Candiru?

The Candiru is small enough to carry in a pocket, on a belt, in a boot, or around the neck. The included paracord, cord lock, split rings, and snap hook give you options for setting up the sheath for neck carry or attaching it to a pack or other gear.

How is this different from the other Candiru options?

The knife and accessories are the same across the Candiru Survival Kits; the difference is color. This kit is Purple with a white sheath, while the Black (ESEE-CAN-B-KIT), OD Green (ESEE-CAN-OD-KIT), Dark Earth (ESEE-CAN-DE-KIT), and Desert Tan (ESEE-CAN-DT-KIT) kits come with a black sheath. If you only need the knife and sheath, choose the standalone Purple Candiru (ESEE-CAN-PURP-E).

How do I care for the 1095 carbon steel blade?

1095 is a carbon steel, not a stainless steel, so it can rust if left wet. The Purple finish helps protect the blade, but the sharpened edge and any worn spots are bare steel. Wipe the knife clean and dry after use, especially after cutting food or exposure to moisture, and apply a light coat of oil before storage.

Who provides the warranty, and where is it made?
