Camp-Lore RB3 – 3.50″ 1095 Black Oxide Stonewash Plain Edge Drop Point Blade, Green Micarta Handle – ESEE-RB3-BO

The ESEE Camp-Lore RB3 is a Scandi-ground bushcraft knife designed by woodsman Reuben Bolieu and made in Idaho, USA. It pairs a 3.50″ black oxide stonewashed 1095 blade with green canvas Micarta scales and an upgraded brown leather sheath.

1095 carbon steel is a classic outdoor steel: tough, easy to sharpen in the field, and well suited to carving and camp work. ESEE runs it at 55-58 HRC. The Scandi grind gives a single wide bevel that is simple to sharpen on a flat stone and bites well into wood, making it a favorite for feather sticks, notches, and other bushcraft tasks. The black oxide stonewash finish helps protect the blade and hides scratches from daily use.

• Blade: 3.50″ 1095 carbon steel drop point, black oxide stonewash finish, Scandi grind, plain edge, 0.13″ thick, 55-58 HRC. 8.125″ overall.
• Handle: Ergonomic green canvas Micarta for a secure, comfortable grip during camp chores. 4.625″ handle length.
• Sheath: Upgraded brown leather sheath included.
• Carry: 5.87 oz.

Ideal for: bushcrafters who carve, make feather sticks, and prep fire with a Scandi edge; campers who want a traditional outdoor knife with a leather sheath; and collectors of ESEE’s Camp-Lore series.

Care: 1095 is carbon steel, not stainless. The black oxide finish helps protect the blade but can wear at contact points, and the edge is bare steel. Keep the knife dry and lightly oiled, and let the leather sheath dry fully before storing the knife in it.

ESEE Camp-Lore RB3: Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the most common questions about the ESEE Camp-Lore RB3 (ESEE-RB3-BO).

What kind of blade and sheath does the Camp-Lore RB3 have?

It is a fixed blade with a 3.50-inch 1095 carbon steel drop-point blade, 0.13 inch thick, hardened to 55-58 HRC, with a black oxide stonewash finish, a Scandi grind, and a plain edge. It comes with an upgraded brown leather sheath.

What is included with the Camp-Lore RB3?

The knife comes with its brown leather sheath. Contents are subject to change by the manufacturer.

Why does the RB3 use a Scandi grind?

A Scandi grind has a single wide bevel that runs straight to the edge. It is easy to sharpen on a flat stone by laying the bevel down, and it bites well into wood, which makes it a popular choice for carving, feather sticks, and other bushcraft tasks.

How do I care for the 1095 blade and leather sheath?

1095 is carbon steel, not stainless. The black oxide finish helps protect the blade but can wear at contact points, and the edge is bare steel, so wipe the knife dry after use and keep a light coat of oil on it. If the leather sheath gets wet, let it dry naturally away from direct heat before storing the knife in it, and treat it occasionally with a leather conditioner.

Who designed the Camp-Lore RB3?

The RB3 was designed by Reuben Bolieu as part of ESEE’s Camp-Lore series, a line of knives developed with experienced woodsmen for practical outdoor use.
