Camp-Lore PR4 – 4.19″ 1095 Tumbled Black Plain Edge Spear Point Blade, Brown Sculptured Micarta Handle – ESEE-PR4-BO

The ESEE Camp-Lore PR4 is Patrick Rollins’ modern take on Horace Kephart’s classic camp knife, a full-tang fixed blade with a 4.19″ 1095 carbon steel spear point, sculpted brown Micarta scales, and a leather belt sheath for right-hand carry.

Rollins designed the PR4 for off-trail hiking, camping, and bushcraft, and ESEE notes it was put through its paces in his survival workshops. The full-tang blade is flat ground from 1095 carbon steel at 55-57 HRC, a tough, straightforward steel that takes a keen edge and is easy to touch up in the field. A tumbled black oxide finish adds a layer of corrosion resistance and cuts glare. The spear point keeps the tip centered for controlled detail work, and the 0.125″ stock keeps the knife light enough to carry all day at 6.30 oz. Sculpted brown Micarta scales give a sure grip and a classic look.

• Blade: 4.19″ 1095 carbon steel spear point, full tang, flat grind, plain edge, tumbled black oxide finish, 0.125″ thick, 55-57 HRC. 8.90″ overall.
• Handle: Sculpted brown Micarta scales, 4.71″ long.
• Construction: Full-tang fixed blade, with no folding or locking mechanism.
• Carry: 6.30 oz. Includes a brown leather belt sheath for right-hand carry.

Ideal for: hikers and backpackers heading off-trail who want a mid-size camp knife; bushcrafters who prefer a traditional Kephart-style pattern; and right-handed belt carriers who want a classic leather sheath.

Care: 1095 is not stainless. It may develop a patina where the finish wears, so keep the blade dry and lightly oiled.
