The ESEE Camp-Lore JG3 is a compact bushcraft and camp-chore knife designed by James Gibson, pairing a 3.50″ 1095 carbon steel drop-point blade with a tan Micarta handle and an improved brown leather bag sheath.

Gibson is an east Tennessee bladesmith who earned his American Bladesmith Society Journeyman Smith rating in 2003 and teaches bushcraft as lead instructor for Randall’s Adventure & Training. ESEE builds the JG3 in Idaho, USA, flat grinding the blade from 1095 carbon steel at 55-57 HRC. 1095 is a tough, straightforward steel that takes a keen edge and is easy to touch up in the field, and the tumbled black finish helps mute glare. At 7.625″ overall and 4.5 oz, it’s sized for feather sticks, food prep, and everyday camp work.
