Boker Germany Kiboku – 2.95″ RWL-34 Two-Tone Drop Point Plain Blade, Desert Ironwood Handle – 120574

Perfection is an illusion found in detail — and Lucas Burnley builds from that premise rather than against it. The Boker Germany Kiboku 120574 takes the same rigorously functional fixed blade architecture as the rest of the Kiboku lineup and wraps it in Desert Ironwood: one of the densest, most visually distinctive natural handle materials available, and one that means every knife is genuinely unique.

The blade is ground from RWL-34 — a powder metallurgy stainless steel produced by Damasteel, the Swedish manufacturer known for supplying premium steel to the custom and high-performance production knife market. RWL-34 delivers a well-balanced combination of high edge retention, excellent corrosion resistance, and easy resharpening that makes it ideal for versatile everyday use from cardboard to camp food to bushcraft tasks. The drop point profile runs a two-tone uncoated finish with spine jimpings and a swedge — the jimpings add purchase for controlled thumb placement on detail cuts, the swedge adds a visual accent that breaks the blade geometry without compromising the plain edge. Full-tang construction runs the steel the full length of the handle for maximum structural integrity under hard use.

Desert Ironwood — harvested from the ironwood trees of the Sonoran Desert in the American Southwest — is one of the hardest, most dense natural woods used in knife handles. Its grain patterns, color variation, and figure are unique to every piece: the warm brown tones shift with the wood’s natural character, producing a handle that no other knife will duplicate. Unlike synthetic materials, Desert Ironwood develops a patina with use and handling that makes the knife increasingly distinctive over time. The screw-fastened construction allows scale removal for cleaning and customization. A precision-fit Kydex sheath provides secure blade retention and flexible belt or pocket carry for daily and outdoor use.
