Bear and Son Gold Rush Bowie BCCB0034, 7.375″ Sandvik 12C27 Satin Blade, Cocobolo Wood Handle, Brass Guard, Leather Sheath

The Bowie knife is one of the most iconic blade shapes in American history, and Bear and Son’s Gold Rush Bowie is one of the finest production interpretations of the pattern available today. At 12 inches overall with a 7.375-inch blade, this is a full-size working bowie — not a wall hanger dressed up to look like one. Bear and Son has been crafting quality fixed blades in Jacksonville, Alabama since 1991 and the Gold Rush Bowie reflects that commitment. The BCCB0034 is the cocobolo wood version, a knife that looks as good displayed in a cabinet as it does on a belt in the field. The blade is 7.375 inches of Sandvik 12C27 stainless steel with a satin finish and a clip point bowie profile. 12C27 is a Swedish stainless steel developed specifically for knives — it holds a sharp edge, resists corrosion, and is easy to sharpen in the field. The satin finish gives it a clean, traditional look without being overly polished. The full tang construction runs the entire length of the cocobolo handle, giving this knife the structural integrity you want in a blade of this size. A brass guard sits between blade and handle to protect the hand, with brass rivets securing the handle scales. Cutting edge length is 7.0 inches. Cocobolo is one of the most visually striking hardwoods used in knife making — a dense, oil-rich tropical wood with a deep reddish-brown grain that takes a high polish and improves with age. The handle length is 4.625 inches and the fit against the brass guard is clean and precise. The knife ships with a brown leather belt sheath and comes packaged in a gift box featuring gold rush artwork — a presentation that makes this an exceptional gift for hunters, collectors, history enthusiasts, or anyone who appreciates a genuinely beautiful working knife. Knifeworks is an authorized Bear and Son dealer and your purchase is backed by the manufacturer warranty. • Blade: 7.375″ Sandvik 12C27 stainless steel, satin finish, clip point bowie profile, plain edge • Cutting edge: 7.0″ | Blade optimized for field use and sharpening • Construction: Full tang — blade runs entire handle length • Guard: Brass guard with brass rivets securing cocobolo handle scales • Handle: Cocobolo hardwood, 4.625″ length — dense, oil-rich, hand-polished appearance • Sheath: Brown leather belt sheath included • Packaging: Gift box with gold rush artwork — presentation-ready out of the box • Overall length: 12″ | Weight: 23.01 oz (with sheath) • Made in Jacksonville, Alabama, USA by Bear and Son Cutlery
