Kershaw Launch Iridium Automatic Knife – 3.45″ CPM MagnaCut Working Finish Spear Point Blade Black Anodized Aluminum Handle USA Made 7038

The Kershaw Launch Iridium Auto 7038 is a USA-made side-button automatic folder with a 3.45-inch CPM MagnaCut working finish spear point blade on a black anodized aluminum handle — the most carry-neutral Iridium Auto configuration, delivering Crucible’s benchmark alloy in a bare, functional working finish on a zero-signature all-black platform.

The Launch Iridium Auto bridges the Iridium’s proven handle geometry with the Launch series’ USA-made automatic deployment. CPM MagnaCut is the steel that changed the conversation for American-made production knives. Engineered by metallurgist Larrin Thomas and produced by Crucible Industries, CPM MagnaCut simultaneously outperforms CPM-S35VN and M390 in edge retention, toughness, and corrosion resistance. The working finish on the 7038 is a functional, utilitarian blade surface treatment — typically a matte, low-sheen finish applied for corrosion resistance and carry practicality rather than visual presentation. Where stonewash creates a matte textured surface by tumbling with media and blackwash applies a dark coating over stonewash, a working finish is the blade as it comes off the grind and treatment process: practical, non-reflective, and purpose-built for use rather than display. CPM MagnaCut’s near-H1 corrosion resistance is well-suited to a working finish — the steel’s own resistance handles carry moisture without relying on a coating layer. The black anodized aluminum handle creates the most carry-neutral Iridium Auto configuration: no color signal from bronze, no field-carry signal from OD green, no grip-material premium of G-10. Black aluminum reads as precise, professional, and context-free in every carry environment. The dark working finish blade against the black anodized handle creates a unified dark carry profile with no tonal variation — the most discrete and carry-neutral of the four Iridium Auto configurations. All assembled in Tualatin, Oregon on Kershaw’s USA production floor.

• Handle: Black anodized aluminum — the most carry-neutral Iridium Auto configuration; zero color signal, works in every carry context; unified dark profile with the working finish blade
• Deployment: Side-button automatic — press the button on the spine; fast, smooth one-hand deployment; confirm lock type at kershawknives.com

Buyers who want the Launch Iridium Auto in the most carry-neutral and carry-practical configuration — the 7038’s working finish blade and black aluminum handle read as zero-signature professional hardware in every carry context, without the warm premium signal of bronze, the field-carry signal of OD green, or the grip-material distinction of G-10. Hard-use and professional carry buyers who prefer a functional working finish over a decorative stonewash or blackwash — working finish blades carry as intended tools, not display pieces. Buyers completing the full Launch Iridium Auto family who want the black working finish 7038 alongside the 7038BRZ (bronze/stonewash), 7038OL (OD green/stonewash), and KS7038G10 (black G-10/blackwash) as the complete four-variant Iridium Auto set.

CPM MagnaCut, working finish spear point, black anodized aluminum, USA-made side-button automatic, and Kershaw Lifetime Warranty — the Kershaw Launch Iridium Auto 7038 is the most carry-neutral and functional-finish Iridium Auto configuration.
