ESEE-6 – 6.50″ 1095 Venom Green Plain Edge Drop Point Blade, Orange G-10 Handle – ESEE-6P-VG

The ESEE-6 is a full-size survival knife that balances size, weight, and heft: nimble enough for smaller tasks, with enough weight and edge length for bigger jobs. This version pairs a 6.50″ Venom Green 1095 drop-point blade with high-visibility orange G-10 handle scales and a black injection-molded sheath.

1095 carbon steel is a classic choice for large survival knives: tough, easy to sharpen in the field, and forgiving under hard use. ESEE runs it at 55-57 HRC. The 0.19″ thick, flat-ground plain edge handles chopping, batoning, and camp work along its full length. Hold the handle further back for more power when chopping, or choke up onto the finger choil for control during precise carving. The orange handle makes the knife easy to spot if you set it down in the field.

• Blade: 6.50″ 1095 carbon steel drop point, Venom Green finish, flat grind, plain edge, 0.19″ thick, 55-57 HRC. 11.75″ overall.
• Handle: Orange G-10 with a finger choil for a secure, high-visibility grip. 5.25″ handle length.
• Sheath: Injection-molded black polymer sheath included.
• Carry: 12.00 oz.

Ideal for: backcountry campers and hunters who want one full-size knife for chopping and detail work; survival and bushcraft trainees who need a large, tough fixed blade; and outdoor users who want a bold, high-visibility knife that is easy to find.

Care: 1095 is carbon steel, not stainless. The Venom Green finish helps protect the blade, but the edge and any worn areas can rust or patina. Keep the knife dry and lightly oiled.

ESEE-6 Venom Green and Orange G-10: Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the most common questions about the ESEE-6 with a Venom Green blade and orange G-10 (ESEE-6P-VG).

What kind of blade and sheath does this ESEE-6 have?

It is a fixed blade with a 6.50-inch 1095 carbon steel drop-point blade, 0.19 inch thick, hardened to 55-57 HRC, with a Venom Green finish, a flat grind, and a plain edge. It comes with an injection-molded black polymer sheath.

What is included with this ESEE-6?

The knife comes with its black polymer sheath. Contents are subject to change by the manufacturer.

How do I use the ESEE-6 for both chopping and carving?

For chopping, hold the handle further back to put more of the blade’s weight into each swing. For precise carving and detail work, choke up and place your finger in the finger choil just behind the edge for added control.

How is this different from other ESEE-6 versions?

All ESEE-6 models share the same 6.50-inch 1095 blade. This version pairs a Venom Green blade with standard orange G-10 and weighs 12 oz. The ESEE-6 3D Handle in Venom Green, 6PVG-007, uses contoured neon green and black G-10 scales, the ESEE-6S adds a partially serrated edge, and the ESEE-6P-KO is sold without a sheath.

Will the 1095 carbon steel blade rust?

It can. 1095 is carbon steel, not stainless, so it needs more care than stainless steels. The Venom Green finish helps protect the blade, but the edge and any worn areas can rust or patina if left wet. Wipe the knife dry after use and keep a light coat of oil on it.

What warranty does the ESEE-6 have, and where is it made?

ESEE describes its warranty as one of the most extensive available. Contact ESEE or visit eseeknives.com for current warranty terms and service. The ESEE-6 is made in the USA.
