Kershaw Launch 14 Auto – 3.375″ CPM-154 Blackwash Cleaver Blade, Black Aluminum & Carbon Fiber Inlay Handle USA Made – 7850

The Kershaw Launch 14 7850 is a USA-made side-button automatic folder with a 3.375-inch CPM-154 blackwash cleaver blade on a black aluminum handle with carbon fiber inlay — the zero-signature all-black configuration of the Launch 14 cleaver lineup, pairing the catalog’s widest blade face with a fully unified dark blade and handle and carbon fiber’s premium woven texture.

The Launch series represents Kershaw’s highest-tier USA-made automatic folder production — KVT ball-bearing pivot, side-button deployment, liner lock retention. The Launch 14 7850 runs CPM-154, Crucible’s powder metallurgy version of 154CM — more uniform carbide distribution, better edge retention, improved toughness, and excellent corrosion resistance. No active moisture maintenance required. The cleaver blade geometry remains the defining characteristic of the Launch 14 — a broad, tall blade with a spine running nearly parallel to the cutting edge, producing the widest flat face in the Launch catalog and delivering maximum slicing surface in a draw cut or rocking push cut. The blackwash finish applies a dark coating over a stonewash base, the underlying micro-texture creating visual depth and dimensional complexity across that broad face rather than a flat uniform black. The black aluminum handle with carbon fiber inlay creates the most carry-neutral configuration in the Launch 14 family that still carries a premium material accent — where the 7850OLBW pairs the same blackwash finish with OD green for a field-carry signal, the 7850 pairs that identical blade with black aluminum for a fully unified, zero-signature dark carry piece. The woven carbon fiber inlay adds visual texture and tactile depth against the black aluminum frame, distinguishing the handle from a plain anodized surface without introducing any color signal. All assembled in Tualatin, Oregon on Kershaw’s USA production floor.

• Blade: CPM-154 stainless steel, cleaver profile, blackwash finish — powder metallurgy stainless with excellent edge retention and corrosion resistance; dimensional dark surface with micro-texture depth across the widest blade face in the Launch catalog; no active moisture maintenance required
• Handle: Black aluminum with carbon fiber inlay — zero-signature all-black configuration; woven carbon fiber texture against the black frame adds premium tactile depth without introducing a color signal
• Deployment: Side-button automatic — press the button on the spine; KVT ball-bearing pivot delivers fast, smooth, one-hand deployment; liner lock retention
• Carry: USA made, 3.375-inch cleaver blade (confirm clip configuration)

Buyers who want the Launch 14 cleaver automatic in the most carry-neutral configuration that still includes a premium carbon fiber handle accent — the 7850’s all-black blackwash blade and black aluminum frame disappear into any carry context while the carbon fiber inlay keeps the handle from reading as plain. Buyers who prefer the dimensional dark blackwash finish to stonewash’s natural steel look but want black rather than the field-carry OD green of the 7850OLBW. Collectors completing the full Launch 14 family who want the 7850 alongside the 7850RDSW red CF, 7850SW gray stonewash, 7850OLBW OD green blackwash, and 7850BLKDAM Damascus as the complete five-variant Launch 14 set.

CPM-154, blackwash cleaver, black aluminum with carbon fiber inlay, USA-made side-button automatic, and Kershaw Lifetime Warranty — the Kershaw Launch 14 7850 is the zero-signature all-black cleaver automatic in the Launch lineup.
