Microtech Dirac Delta D/E Signature Series – 3.79″ M390MK Sand Dune Camo Full Serrated Double-Edge Dagger Blade, Sand Dune Camo Aluminum Handle – 227-3DUCS

The Microtech Dirac Delta is the larger version of the Dirac, Microtech’s first double-action OTF with a front cover-firing slider. This Signature Series model pairs a 3.79″ Sand Dune Camo double-edge dagger blade, with one fully serrated edge, with a matching camo aluminum handle.

M390MK is Microtech’s designation for its M390 powder-metallurgy stainless steel, known for strong edge retention and good corrosion resistance. In practice, that means a blade that stays sharp through long stretches of use and resists rust with basic care. This dagger blade has one plain edge for clean slicing and one fully serrated edge for cutting rope, webbing, and other fibrous materials. Microtech notes that blade steel on this model may vary between Böhler M390 and Carpenter CTS-204P.

Microtech Dirac Delta D/E Sand Dune Camo: Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the most common questions about the Microtech Dirac Delta D/E Signature Series in Sand Dune Camo (227-3DUCS).

Is it legal to own or carry a double-edged OTF automatic like the Dirac Delta where I live?

Automatic knife laws, including those covering OTF knives, vary by federal, state, and local jurisdiction, and many places also restrict double-edged blades and daggers. These laws change. Before ordering, check the laws where you live and carry. The American Knife and Tool Institute keeps state-by-state summaries at akti.org.

How does the Dirac Delta’s front slider work?

The Dirac Delta is a double-action out-the-front (OTF) knife, so the blade slides straight out of the front of the handle. Its cover-firing slider on the front of the handle both deploys and retracts the blade with one hand. Keep your fingers clear of the front of the handle when deploying.

What does full serrated mean on this dagger blade?

The Dirac Delta’s double-edge blade has one plain edge and one fully serrated edge. The plain edge handles clean slicing, while the serrated edge grips and saws through rope, webbing, and other fibrous materials. To sharpen the serrations, use a tapered ceramic rod or a sharpening system with corner edges for serrations.

What steel is the Dirac Delta’s blade?

The blade is listed as M390MK, Microtech’s designation for its M390 powder-metallurgy stainless steel. Microtech notes that blade steel on this model may vary between Böhler M390 and Carpenter CTS-204P, both premium stainless steels known for strong edge retention.

How is the Dirac Delta different from the Dirac?

The Dirac Delta shares the Dirac’s curved ergonomic chassis, internal mechanism, front firing slider, and glass breaker in a larger size, with a 3.79-inch blade and 9.4-inch overall length. The smaller Dirac has a 2.92-inch blade and 7.25-inch overall length.

What warranty does the Dirac Delta have, and where is it made?

Microtech handles warranty service for this knife. Contact Microtech directly for warranty terms and service. The Dirac Delta is made in the USA.
