Heretic Auto Hydra V4 – 3.63″ CPM MagnaCut DLC Drop Point Blade, Green Handle – H407-6A-GRN

The Heretic Auto Hydra V4 H407-6A-GRN pairs a DLC-coated CPM MagnaCut drop point blade with a green handle, bringing Heretic’s push-button OTF mechanism to the Hydra platform in a classic utility-focused blade shape.

CPM MagnaCut is Crucible’s stainless steel engineered specifically for knife blades by metallurgist Larrin Thomas, rather than optimizing for one property, MagnaCut is formulated to deliver strong edge retention, corrosion resistance, and toughness simultaneously, closing the gap that usually forces a tradeoff between the three. Its balanced carbide structure keeps it easier to sharpen than extreme high-vanadium steels like CPM-S90V, while still outperforming older workhorse stainless steels like D2, 154CM, and CPM-S30V on corrosion resistance and edge stability.

The drop point blade shape is a general-purpose profile with a strong, gradually curving spine down to the tip, it’s the most common blade shape for everyday cutting tasks because it balances tip control with a full, usable belly for slicing.

The DLC (diamond-like carbon) coating is a hard, low-friction physical vapor deposition finish applied over the CPM MagnaCut steel, DLC coatings add surface hardness and a low-glare, matte black appearance while layering additional corrosion resistance on top of the stainless substrate.

The out-the-front mechanism fires the blade straight out of the front of the handle at the push of a button and retracts it the same way, no manual flip, thumb stud, or disengage step required.

• Blade: 3.63″ CPM MagnaCut drop point blade, DLC coating, balanced edge retention, corrosion resistance, and toughness; drop point profile balances tip control with a full slicing belly; DLC adds surface hardness and a low-glare finish.
• Handle: Green, handle material and texture not confirmed this session, verify against hereticknives.com.
• Deployment: Out-the-front (OTF) automatic, push-button fire and retract, no manual disengage step; fully enclosed blade when closed.
• Carry: 3.63-inch blade platform on Heretic’s Hydra V4 line, overall length, closed length, and weight not confirmed this session, verify against hereticknives.com before publishing.

Buyers who want a general-purpose drop point blade rather than a tanto or double edge grind, in the Hydra V4 automatic platform.
CPM MagnaCut buyers who want strong all-around performance, edge retention, corrosion resistance, and toughness, without the sharpening difficulty of extreme high-vanadium stainless steels.
Buyers who want a DLC-coated blade for its hardness and low-glare finish, paired with the green colorway in this Hydra V4 configuration.

CPM MagnaCut’s balanced edge retention, corrosion resistance, and toughness ground into a general-purpose drop point with a hard, low-glare DLC coating, the Heretic Auto Hydra V4 H407-6A-GRN is built for buyers who want everyday cutting versatility in a push-button OTF platform.
