ESEE-4 – 4.50″ 1095 OD Green Part Serrated Drop Point Blade, Orange G-10 Handle – ESEE-4S-OD

The ESEE-4 is ESEE’s 4.5″ do-everything survival and outdoor knife, shown here with a partially serrated 1095 carbon steel drop-point blade in OD Green, a high-visibility orange G-10 handle, and a black molded polymer sheath.

The ESEE-4 balances strength and slicing in one mid-size package. ESEE flat grinds the 0.188″ thick blade from 1095 carbon steel at 55-57 HRC, a tough, straightforward steel that takes a keen edge and is easy to touch up in the field. The thick stock stands up to batoning and hard camp work, while the tall flat grind keeps the edge thin enough for clean slicing in food prep and finer tasks. The partially serrated edge adds bite for cutting cordage, webbing, and fibrous material, and the OD Green coating cuts glare. The orange G-10 handle offers a secure grip and is easy to spot if set down outdoors.

• Blade: 4.50″ 1095 carbon steel drop point, tall flat grind, partially serrated edge, OD Green coating, 0.188″ thick, 55-57 HRC. 9.00″ overall.

• Construction: Fixed blade, with no folding or locking mechanism.

Care: 1095 is not stainless. It may develop a patina where the coating wears, so keep the blade dry and lightly oiled.
