ESEE-4 – 4.50″ 1095 OD Green Plain Edge Drop Point Blade, Orange G-10 Handle (Knife Only) – ESEE-4P-KO-OD

The ESEE-4 is an all-around survival, bushcraft, and outdoor fixed blade designed by Jeff Randall and Mike Perrin. This knife-only version pairs a 4.50″ OD Green 1095 drop-point blade with a full plain edge and high-visibility orange G-10 handle scales. No sheath is included.

1095 carbon steel is a classic choice for survival knives: tough, easy to sharpen in the field, and forgiving under hard use. ESEE runs it at 55-57 HRC. The 0.188″ thick blade stock stands up to batoning, while the tall flat grind keeps the edge thin enough for clean slicing in camp and when processing game. ESEE knives are used at Randall’s Adventure & Training jungle survival school and by outdoor users around the world.

• Blade: 4.50″ 1095 carbon steel drop point, OD Green finish, flat grind, plain edge, 0.188″ thick, 55-57 HRC. 9.00″ overall.
• Handle: Orange G-10 for a secure, high-visibility grip. 4.50″ handle length.
• Sheath: None. This is a knife-only listing.
• Carry: 8.00 oz. Pair it with a sheath made for the standard ESEE-4.

Ideal for: ESEE-4 owners who already have a sheath they want to use; buyers planning a custom Kydex or leather sheath; and anyone who wants a spare high-visibility ESEE-4 for a second kit.

Care: 1095 is carbon steel, not stainless. The OD Green finish helps protect the blade, but the edge and any worn areas can rust or patina. Keep the knife dry and lightly oiled, and store it safely until it has a sheath.

Knife only; no sheath included.

ESEE-4 Knife Only, OD Green and Orange: Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the most common questions about the ESEE-4 Knife Only with a plain-edge OD Green blade and orange G-10 (ESEE-4P-KO-OD).

What kind of blade does this ESEE-4 have?

It is a fixed blade with a 4.50-inch 1095 carbon steel drop-point blade, 0.188 inch thick, hardened to 55-57 HRC, with an OD Green finish, a flat grind, and a plain edge. It comes without a sheath.

What is included with the ESEE-4 Knife Only?

This listing includes the knife only. No sheath is included. Contents are subject to change by the manufacturer.

What sheath should I use with this knife?

Use a sheath made for the standard ESEE-4, or have a custom Kydex or leather sheath made for it. Sheaths for the ESEE-4HM and the ESEE-4 3D Handle versions may not fit, because their handles differ.

Can I buy this knife with a sheath?

Yes. The same plain-edge OD Green blade and orange G-10 handle come with a standard black sheath as the ESEE-4P-OD, or with a black MOLLE-back sheath as the ESEE-4P-MB-OD.

Will the 1095 carbon steel blade rust?

It can. 1095 is carbon steel, not stainless, so it needs more care than stainless steels. The OD Green finish helps protect the blade, but the edge and any worn areas can rust or patina if left wet. Wipe the knife dry after use and keep a light coat of oil on it.

What warranty does the ESEE-4 have, and where is it made?

ESEE describes its warranty as one of the most extensive available. Contact ESEE or visit eseeknives.com for current warranty terms and service. The ESEE-4 is made in the USA.
