ESEE-3MIL – 3.88″ 1095 Black Plain Edge Drop Point Blade, Black G-10 Handle, Glass Breaker – ESEE-3MIL-P-BLK

The ESEE-3MIL is a version of the all-purpose ESEE-3 that adds a glass breaker to the handle and a MOLLE-back sheath. This all-black model pairs a 3.88″ black-coated 1095 drop-point blade with a full plain edge, black G-10 handle scales, and a black polymer sheath with a MOLLE back.

1095 carbon steel is a classic outdoor steel: tough, easy to sharpen in the field, and dependable under hard use. ESEE runs it at 55-57 HRC. The 0.125″ thick, flat-ground blade slices thin for processing game and making tinder, and the full plain edge makes sharpening simple. The black G-10 scales are durable and moisture resistant, and the integrated glass breaker sits at the end of the handle.

• Blade: 3.88″ 1095 carbon steel drop point, black finish, flat grind, plain edge, 0.125″ thick, 55-57 HRC. 8.31″ overall.
• Handle: Black G-10 with an integrated glass breaker. 4.43″ handle length.
• Sheath: Injection-molded black polymer sheath with a MOLLE back.
• Carry: 9.3 oz, mounts on a belt, pack, or MOLLE gear.

Ideal for: outdoor users who want a glass breaker built into a compact fixed blade; buyers who want a low-profile, all-black knife with a full plain edge; and anyone who wants MOLLE-compatible mounting on a pack or vest.

Glass breaker: Laws on knives with glass breakers and similar tools vary. Check your local laws and use this tool lawfully.

Care: 1095 is carbon steel, not stainless. The black finish helps protect the blade, but the edge and any worn areas can rust or patina. Keep the knife dry and lightly oiled.

Which ESEE-3MIL should I choose?

All ESEE-3MIL models share the same 1095 blade, glass breaker, and MOLLE-back sheath design. Choose this version for a plain edge in all-black G-10, or the ESEE-3MIL-S-BLK for a partially serrated edge in black G-10. For tan Micarta, choose the plain-edge ESEE-3MIL-P or the partially serrated ESEE-3MIL-S, which ships without its retail box.
