ESEE-3HM – 3.63″ 1095 Black Plain Edge Drop Point Blade, Green Canvas Micarta Handle – ESEE-3HM-B

The ESEE-3HM is a classic-styled take on ESEE’s all-purpose ESEE-3. It pairs a 3.63″ black-coated 1095 drop-point blade with green canvas Micarta scales in a traditional handle profile with a smooth rounded pommel, plus a brown leather belt sheath for a heritage look.

1095 carbon steel is a classic choice for outdoor knives: tough, easy to sharpen in the field, and forgiving under hard use. ESEE runs it at 55-57 HRC. The 0.125″ thick, flat-ground blade has a simple plain edge for camp work, food prep, and processing game. The rounded canvas Micarta handle gives a comfortable, traditional grip, and the leather sheath rides on a belt loop. The HM uses its own handle shape and sheath, so confirm fit before swapping in a sheath made for the standard ESEE-3.

• Blade: 3.63″ 1095 carbon steel drop point, black finish, flat grind, plain edge, 0.125″ thick, 55-57 HRC. 8.13″ overall.
• Handle: Green canvas Micarta with a classic profile and smooth rounded pommel. 4.50″ handle length.
• Sheath: Brown leather sheath with a belt loop.
• Carry: 5.6 oz.

Ideal for: bushcrafters and campers who prefer a traditional leather sheath; outdoor users who want a compact ESEE in a classic, rounded handle; and buyers who like the look of green canvas Micarta.

Care: 1095 is carbon steel, not stainless. The black finish helps protect the blade, but the edge and any worn areas can rust or patina. Keep the knife dry and lightly oiled, and let the leather sheath dry fully before storing the knife in it.

ESEE-3HM: Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the most common questions about the ESEE-3HM with a black blade, green canvas Micarta, and leather sheath (ESEE-3HM-B).

What kind of blade and sheath does the ESEE-3HM have?

It is a fixed blade with a 3.63-inch 1095 carbon steel drop-point blade, 0.125 inch thick, hardened to 55-57 HRC, with a black finish, a flat grind, and a plain edge. It comes with a brown leather sheath with a belt loop.

What is included with the ESEE-3HM?

The knife comes with its brown leather sheath. Contents are subject to change by the manufacturer.

How is the ESEE-3HM different from the standard ESEE-3?

The ESEE-3HM has a classic canvas Micarta handle with a smooth rounded pommel, a slightly shorter 3.63-inch blade, and a leather sheath. The standard ESEE-3 has a 3.88-inch blade, a different handle shape, and a molded polymer sheath. Because the handles differ, confirm fit before using a sheath made for the standard ESEE-3 with the HM.

Is there a larger HM model?

Yes. The ESEE-4HM has the same classic handle style and leather sheath with a larger 4.38-inch blade, for buyers who want more reach and heft.

How do I care for the 1095 blade and leather sheath?

1095 is carbon steel, not stainless. The black finish helps protect the blade, but the edge and any worn areas can rust or patina, so wipe the knife dry after use and keep a light coat of oil on it. If the leather sheath gets wet, let it dry naturally away from direct heat before storing the knife in it, and treat it occasionally with a leather conditioner.

What warranty does the ESEE-3HM have, and where is it made?

ESEE describes its warranty as one of the most extensive available. Contact ESEE or visit eseeknives.com for current warranty terms and service. The ESEE-3HM is made in the USA.
