Kershaw Narrow Fillet Fixed Blade Knife – 9.5″ 420J2 Stainless Steel Blade K-Texture Grip Blade Protector 1249

The Kershaw Narrow Fillet 1249 is the professional choice for processing larger catches like salmon, pike, and steelhead. When dealing with the greater girth and surface area of heavy-bodied fish, a standard blade often falls short; this 9.5-inch trailing point blade provides the extra reach and “flex” needed to glide through meat and navigate around bones with surgical precision. Whether you are at the cleaning station or in your home kitchen, the Narrow Fillet ensures clean, efficient cuts that preserve the delicate flavor and texture of your harvest.

Crafted from 420J2 stainless steel, the blade offers excellent corrosion resistance—a critical requirement for wet marine environments—and is remarkably easy to re-sharpen after a long day of processing. The handle is built for safety and control, featuring a durable glass-filled nylon (GFN) core with Kershaw’s exclusive rubberized K-Texture™ overmold. This high-traction pattern ensures a “locked-in” grip even when your hands are wet, slimy, or covered in fish scales. To maintain the razor-sharp edge and ensure safe transport, every knife comes with a fitted blade protector.

• 9.5-inch High-Flex Blade: Perfectly sized for larger fish, providing the ideal amount of bend to preserve meat and maneuver through thick fillets.

• Included Blade Protector: Features a lightweight, fitted sheath to guard the satin-finished blade during storage in your tackle box or drawer.
