Spyderco Murray Carter Wakiita Gyuto – 10.08″ CTS BD1N Satin Plain Blade Black G-10 K19GP

The Spyderco Wakiita™ Gyuto is the Japanese equivalent of the Western chef’s knife, meticulously designed for versatile slicing, carving, and chopping. As part of the Murray Carter Collection, this “cow blade” expresses the highly refined designs of a Master Bladesmith through the lens of modern stainless steel.

The blade is precision-ground from CTS BD1N, a high-carbon, nitrogen-enriched stainless steel that provides a superior balance of hardness, edge retention, and corrosion resistance. Ground exceptionally thin and straight for elite cutting performance, it features the signature “Carter Elbow”—a distinctive taper from the spine to the point that reinforces the tip. The handle is a traditional octagonal Japanese-style grip crafted from durable, polished Black G-10, offering a comfortable and slip-resistant hold for even the most demanding professional kitchen environments.
