Spartan Blades Spartan Kukri Fighting Fixed Blade (SBSL007BK) 8.5″ 1095 Carbon Steel Black Kukri Plain Blade, Contoured, Black Injection Molded Handle, Black Molded Plastic Sheath

Designed by the renowned knife maker William W. Harsey Jr. and manufactured in collaboration with the expert craftsmen at KA-BAR Knives in Olean, New York, the Spartan-Harsey Kukri is a rugged, multipurpose tool built for serious outdoor work. Featuring an 8 6/8″ curved blade, this modern take on the traditional Nepalese kukri delivers exceptional chopping power while maintaining versatility for a wide range of tasks.

Engineered with a forward-weighted design, the kukri’s center of mass allows it to slice and chop with ease—perfect for clearing brush, chopping firewood, and field construction. Its unique shape lets the narrower section near the handle function like a smaller knife for controlled cutting, while the broader, heavier tip mimics the effectiveness of an axe or even a small shovel.

Originally used for combat and utility in military settings, the kukri has long been a staple in Nepalese households for everything from food preparation and animal processing to digging and light demolition. The Spartan-Harsey Kukri carries on that tradition of versatility with modern materials, American manufacturing, and expert craftsmanship.

Whether you’re preparing camp, clearing a trail, or processing game, this kukri offers exceptional performance, durability, and control—all in a field-ready design made to last a lifetime.
