Muela BW-Classic-16M – 6.30″ X50CrMoV15 Satin Clip Point Plain Blade, Brown Jute Micarta Handle, Brown Leather Sheath – 02MU203

The Muela BW-Classic-16M 02MU203 is a full-sized hunting fixed blade built to the standard that Muela’s Spanish bladesmiths have maintained for generations — a 6.30″ clip point in X50CrMoV15 stainless steel, Brown Jute Micarta scales with brass rivets, integrated hand guard, and a brown leather sheath. At 10.9″ overall and 11.7 oz, this is a serious field knife for serious outdoor work: bushcraft, survival, large-game processing, and any task that demands a heavy-duty fixed blade with the lateral strength and corrosion resistance a hunting environment requires.

The blade is ground from X50CrMoV15 — a European stainless steel designation (also known as MoVa) that is specifically enriched with Molybdenum and Vanadium to deliver a professional balance of edge retention, toughness, and corrosion resistance. Molybdenum improves the steel’s hardenability and resistance to wear and corrosion; Vanadium refines the carbide structure for a harder, more wear-resistant edge. At 0.18″ thick, this blade has the structural integrity for lateral loads and hard batoning or field processing tasks that thinner production blades cannot handle without concern. The clip point profile provides a controlled, versatile tip suitable for both field dressing and detail work, while the full blade length and satin finish keep the knife field-appropriate and easy to maintain.

The handle construction combines three elements. Brown Jute Micarta scales — woven jute fiber impregnated with resin and cured under pressure — provide a textured, non-slip surface that performs in rain, mud, and wet blood where natural wood would swell and smooth synthetic materials would lose traction. Brass rivets secure the scales through the full tang in a traditional construction that has proven reliable across generations of hunting knife use. The integrated safety hand guard — part of the handle construction rather than a separate bolster — prevents forward hand slip under load during the high-pressure field tasks this knife is built for. Brown leather sheath with belt carry is included. Handcrafted in Spain by Muela.
