Muela Cazorla – 6.06″ X50CrMoV15 Stainless Satin Plain Edge Blade, Crown Red Deer Staghorn Handle – 02MU225

A hunting knife that earns its keep over decades does not need to announce itself — it just needs to perform every time, season after season. The Muela CAZ-16 is that knife: a traditional Bowie-profile hunting fixed blade crafted from X50CrMoV15 stainless steel with an ergonomically shaped Crown Red Deer staghorn handle, stainless steel guard, and premium leather sheath. Spanish craftsmanship at its most considered — built to work and built to last.

The CAZ-16 carries the Bowie-style blade profile that hunters have trusted for demanding field work — a clip-point geometry that delivers the blade length and belly needed for skinning and field dressing while keeping the tip strong and controlled for precision cuts. The blade is ground from X50CrMoV15 stainless steel (also designated MoVa / 1.4446) — a high-alloy German stainless steel whose chromium, molybdenum, and vanadium additions produce a balanced performance profile that has made it a staple in premium European hunting knives: reliable corrosion resistance for wet field environments, solid edge retention under sustained cutting loads, and a sharpenability profile that responds well to ceramic rods and field stones without specialized equipment. At 0.18″ blade thickness — matched to the Sherpa in this lineup — the CAZ-16’s stock is built for stability and durability under the full range of hunting field tasks. The stainless steel guard adds both hand protection and structural integrity at the blade-to-handle junction, and complements the knife’s refined classic appearance.
